This Little Piggy...

Buggy's Halloween costume arrived today, and of course, she had to try it on!  We learned our lesson last year, when we tried to take Hailey Trick-or-Treating in her "tundra" bunny costume in the 90 degree weather.  Poor child just about sweat to death!  This year her Piggy costume can be worn in cold or warm weather.  We saw it fitting that Bug be a Piggy this year because it's her most favorite animal!  She LOVES pigs and loves making pig noises!  However, her costume was not as well received as I would have hoped.  She smiled and made pig noises at it when I took it out of the box.  But when I put it on her body, she changed her tune a little bit.  I should have known better though, making her try on a pig costume while she's sick and teething.  (Which is also why she either looks out of it, or has her hands in her mouth for all of the pictures!)

You might notice how the body of the 18month sized costume fits our 16 month old perfectly, but the head portion of the costume is too small to connect under her chin!  Just another lovely trait she can thank her Daddy for!

After she got over the initial shock of wearing a pig costume, she started to make snorting sounds and run around the house!

She sure does make a cute little piggy, but I think she prefers her piggy's in the stuffed animal form.

So she can give them hugs!
Get ready, because this little piggy is going trick-or-treating!

  2. That's the best thing I've seen all day. I needed it. She's the sweetest piggy ever. You can probably get some sort of pink fabric to extend that strap if need be...or take it to a shop that does alterations. That is, if it's a big deal to you. I LOVE the costume!
