Sunday Shenanigans

Daddy's Little Pumpkin is so happy to have her favorite guy home for a few days.  These past 2 weeks he's been pretty busy being the hard working bread winner and has had to go out of town a lot.  Now that he's home, Buggy has to know where he is all the time!

 Giving "Da-ta" hugs!

She did not like it when Daddy was playing with her favorite teddy, Hugs.

And a meltdown/tantrum ensued!

"Give me back my teddy Da-ta!"

Her bed head has been quite impressive lately!

I thought I might take a little time to brag about our Bug and list all the words she says so far:
ball, dada, shoe, cheese, juice, oink-oink, quack-quack, chipie (the chipmunk in our backyard-we feed him peanuts every morning!), whoo-whoo (owl), oooo-oooo (monkey), hi, bye, eye, pretty, please, baba, Mmmm (and proceed to smack her lips!), uh-oh and baby.  (much to my disappointment, she has stopped saying Mama!)  She will pretty much repeat anything we say and she can point to her tummy eye and nose (sometimes!), can bring us books and her favorite activity is reading.  She likes to turn the pages (although Mommy usually ends up making up a story because she turns the pages far too fast for me to actually read them!)  She loves to make a mess and then clean it up (perhaps some of her parents OCD tendencies shining through?)  She's still an outdoor girl and would rather walk up and down the sidewalk in front of our house instead of being pushed around in her stroller.  She'll sit down when we say, "Hailey sit down."  We usually end up saying that at least 5 times during her  bath, but it also comes in handy when she's walking out front and decides to start running a little too fast!  She'll just plop right down on the ground if we tell her to!  I could go on and on, but it's pretty obvious that we're proud of her!

Here she is playing with her baby and giving her hugs.

We're still trying to get her to ride on her lion from aunt kelly and uncle dan, but she prefers to sit on him and bounce up and down instead!

And as you can see from her big baby gut, she's becoming less of a picky eater!  (Yay!)  She's really growing up too fast!  I wish the "Hailey slow down" trick worked for her growing body too! :(
