She's Baaaack!

After 3 very long days, Buggy is back to her old, happy self again!  The only upside to this whole "24 hour virus" was that I got to redecorate our bathroom after Hailey decided to puke on the walls and shower curtain and pooh all over the bathmat and floor!  Poor little thing.  She was simply pathetic.  Now, all that's left of her virus is a runny nose. (see picture below!)

Another unfortunate thing about having a sick child is that the Mommy ends up being quarantined too!  We couldn't play with any of our friends because we didn't want them to get sick. Of course Doug had to be out of town for work and miss all the excitement AND my parents were at the beach for a week!  So, it was just me and Bug.  I could tell that I was a tad bit lonely/in need of some adult conversation when my friend Lauren called me to see how Hailey was doing and I couldn't seem to stop talking!  I turned what should have been a 5 minute phone call into an hour of me experiencing verbal diarrhea!

Needless to say, we both were getting a little stir crazy and were so happy to be able to run around outside and get back into our fall routine!  I'm already dreading the months of January and February when we won't be able to play outside...guess we'll have to "winter" down in Florida!

All that running around sure does work up an appetite! (and cause some rosy cheeks!)

"Oh brother!  Seriously Mom!  No more pictures!"

We're in the middle of our "Cow Therapy" for Hailey's Bovinephobia (yes, it actually has a name!)  We've been playing with farm puzzles and watching Baby Einstein's "Baby McDonald" in excess.  But our most recent intervention tool has been her Fridge Phonics Farm.  We mix the scary cow sound with one of her favorite animals, a 'quack-quack' or an 'oink-oink'.  She still gets the sad frown face when she hears the cow, but then she hears the duck and seems to cheer up.

When Bug dances, it's HANDS DOWN the cutest thing I have EVER seen!  She turns the music up on her toys and starts moving her feet and turning around in circles and when she's done, she claps her hands!

Buggy likes to boogie!

She's also found that taking everything out of our cupboards and drawers and then putting it all back can be lots of fun!

But what's even more exciting than that is taking everything out of the drawer and bringing it to Daddy!

Hugs, the teddy bear, got lots of hugs for Buggy when she wasn't feeling well.  (He's naked because Bug doesn't like for him to wear any clothes.  If we put his Florida outfit on, she'll just take it right off!)

Since she's feeling all better, Bug decided to have a cupcake party with some of her teddy bears.

After all that playing, Buggy was a pretty tired and decided to fall backwards onto her bean bag and rest a little bit.
We're happy to be on the road to recovery and hope that we can stay on this road for a very long time! Watch out world, Buggy is back!
