Meet the Teacher, Gymnastics & First Day of School 2012

Well, we did it. Both girls met their teacher this week and Hailey had a successful first day in the Red Room and first time in the car pool line. She didn't cry, but I did. Shocker.  I can't publish this post fast enough because she is waiting patiently behind me right now (eating a bowl of chocolate chips - hey, how else do you think I ever get enough time to blog?!), waiting to see her "Red Room" and "Chapsticks" (gymnastics) pictures.  So I'll save you the sappy first day of school story (your welcome!) and let the pictures do the talking.

St. Stephen's Sweetheart

She led the way to the Red Room ready to meet her teacher!

On a mission.

We saw her old teacher, Teacher Ann as we were walking in.  Hailey was very happy to see her and gave her a big hug and a kiss.

She took a detour and said hello to the Purple Room.

Talking to Teacher Ann in her old classroom.

Peeking through the window.
"I rule this school!"

Her "pretty princess" pose.

Swinging into the Red Room.

She stayed busy with Teacher Erin while Mommy talked to Teacher Blanche about my Room Parent Duties.

She loves her new classroom!  (And this is only HALF of the room!!  It's huge!)

Waiting for her turn to go in.  She could see all the toys through the window and couldn't stop staring!

She loved crawling through this.  She did it over and over while I was talking to her teacher.

I'm happy that she will have her own "morning out" just to herself.

It was a little hectic that morning because I had to bring each girl seperatley which meant Bridget stayed home with one of them and I did lots of driving around!

Hailey "be soooo excited!" for preschool!

"How big are Hailey and Lainey?  SOOO Big!!"

Still waking up from naps, zoned out on Curious George and on our way to Gymnastics aka "chapsticks!"

Hailey loved the trampoline, rings and uneven bars the best.  I took so many pictures that my camera broke in the middle of class!!  Gasp!  Now I'm stuck with our old clunker while our Nikon is in the shop for a $200 repair!

Lainey kept herself entertained for the 45minutes we were there...

I think next week we will run an errand instead...

After "Fantastic Chapsticks" we went to the Sunday school Open House to meet Hailey's new teacher and play with Robert and Joshua.

Picking out a sticker for her Sunday School nametag.

Lainey was not happy about Joshua invading her beanbag space.

Hailey on her first day in the Red Room.

She's so big!

She couldn't wait to get in the car!

Her car pool signs.  I can't believe she's in the car pool line now!  It's bittersweet.

We were first in line for the car pool and Hailey was very excited to see Ms. Nancy and go to the Red Room "like a big girl!"  I was a weeping mess after I dropped her off!  Doug and Gigi can vouch for me because I left them both sobbing voicemails!

Lulu and I enjoyed some one on one time running errands.  It was much easier entertaining just one child while we waited at Car Pool for our car to get washed!  Just give my girly girl a purse and some jewelry and she's good to go!

Catching up on her "Doe-doe" books while Bug was at school.

Walking out with Teacher Erin.

Big smile = great first day at Preschool!

My car pool pro!
