What a great way to close out the summer. Doug and I spent the weekend at Lake Norman, NC where we celebrated our friend, (and bridesmaid 7 years ago) Mandy's wedding. We had a great drive down there, and listened to loud "grown up music" the whole time (aka no Dora or Disney Princess DVD's or soundtracks!) We stopped in Durham for dinner on the way down there and when we weren't celebrating with the bride, we were relaxing on the lake and exploring the cute town of Mooresville. The girls spent the weekend at Gigi and Babu's and enjoyed getting spoiled for 3 days!
We spent Labor at the pool and lounging and playing around the house.
This was just the kind of relaxing weekend we needed. This coming week is going to be a busy one, with lots of new change for the girls as we get used to our new fall schedule.

| We spent the morning of the wedding laying out on the lake. |
| After brunch in the cute town of Mooresville, we stopped by a military museum where Doug reminisced with the old war veterans. |
| Main Street in Downtown Mooresville. |
| Lulu, soaked up the snuggles from Gigi over the weekend and enjoyed a tasty popsicle. |
| Lulu, loving the pool on Labor Day. |
| Cruising around the baby pool. |
| We got there as soon as the pool opened. Buggy had the whole pool to herself and was one happy girl! |
| Jumping to Daddy. |
| Splashing Daddy. |
| Lainey and Mommy. |
| Daddy tried to talk Bug into going down the water slide. |
| As you can see, he ended up going by himself. |
| Lulu, soaking up the sights and slurping down a juicebox. |
| The girls and their "rides." |
| Little Lainey Brooke. |
| Tongue out = extra concentration. |
| Squealing with delight and very proud of herself! She's still not walking (and I'm still in no hurry!) but has become quite the expert with her stroller walker. She likes to get her gold purse, pack it with her toy keys and then take her stroller for a walk! |
| Hailey was pretending the be a newborn baby in a baby cradle...random. She has quite the imagination! |
| Sweet Hailey. |
| How did this summer fly by so quickly? |
