Doug and I just got home from a wonderful weekend getaway at the Homestead! Even though I was sick with one of the many viruses Ms. Bug has brought home for me from preschool, it was still a refreshingly relaxing weekend with the very best company I could ask for! We sipped coffee on the beautiful front porch in the chilly weather, while admiring the changing leaves, enjoyed way too many gourmet meals (and room service deserts!), went for a breathtaking hike of the Cascades Gorge, and slept and slept and slept! It was amazing! It was good to know that the girls were in good hands at Gigi and Babu's house so we could just relax and enjoy ourselves. We were in for a rude awaking when we got home though! Buggy's ear infection decided to come back last night, and now she's the sickest she's ever been. It's a good thing I stored up a little extra sleep in my sleep bank this weekend. Something tells me I'm going to need it this week!
