It was cold and rainy during the "prime" trick-or-treating hours this year, so I used that as an excuse to stay home in our pumpkin jammies and just pass out candy for Halloween. I know that this is the last year that Buggy is going to be OK with that decision, and so I took advantage of it! We ended up having tons of trick-or-treaters and Hailey had a blast answering the door and passing out candy. We kept the window open and she would wait on her step stool and let me know when some were coming. She would open the door and say "trick or treat" at the same time as the kids did and then she yelled "Bye kids! Stay dry!" to them as they left. Of course all the trick or treater's parents ate this up! We made pumpkin cookies and watched Halloween episodes of Dora, Mickey Mouse and Umizoomi. We drank milk out of fun pumpkin cups, played with orange, black and white play-doh, drew pictures of ghosts and monsters and pretended to go trick or treating in all the rooms of the house. Daddy even pretended to be a trick or treater when he came home from work. Bug thought he was so silly! Lainey enjoyed watching her big sister and both girls stayed up way past their bedtimes! In fact, Buggy and I ended up falling asleep in my bed, in candy-comas of course, while watching TV!
