Overscheduled and Understaffed!

This Mama is tired!  We're nearing the end of a crazy week and it makes me even more tired knowing that next week is going to be even crazier!  If I was being honest with myself, I'd say that we are terribly overscheduled.  But I'm in denial and I'm just going to say that we're very, very busy!  I was nervous about Bug not getting enough attention after Lainey was born, so, in a sleep deprived state, I signed her up for every activity under the moon this fall.  Now I feel like I'm spending my whole week chauffeuring her all over town!  She's having a blast, but I'm worn out!  Not to mention the fact that Doug has been travelling all week, so it's just me, the girls and our insane social calender!  Here's what our week looked like:

Monday:  Errands, errands errands!  Bug was still pretty sick, so we tried to stay away from our friends except for a stroller walk with Caroline's mommy.

Tuesday:  Little Scientists class.  Bug came home covered in pink play-doh!  (as usual!)

Touching her favorite pumpkin.  Her "bumpy pumpkin!"

Covered in play-doh.  This picture doesn't really show how much was caked on her!  It was all over!

Eating some chicken and fries.  Being a little scientist works up and appetite!

Ahem.  Digesting her chicken and fries!

Wednesday:  Bible study in the morning and Fairytale Ballet in the afternoon.  She loves Bible Study and calls it "church preschool" but she hates ballet!  Even though she spent most of the class crying last week, I thought I would give it another go this week.  This time we never even went into the room.  She got the "cow face", puffed out her lips and started crying ad clinging onto me.  I would try to put her down and she acted like her legs were broken!  So, we spent the 45 minutes sitting with Caroline's mommy (while Caroline was having a great time class) watching Bug run around in the hallway, in her leotard.  She also hates wearing a tutu.  Last week I put her in a dance outfit that had the tutu attached to it, but she kept trying to pull it off, saying "No ballet dress!"  And this week, she just pulled her tutu right off (after I got a few pictures of her it!)  She's just not drinking the ballet kool aid and we're throwing in the towel on ballet for now.

She deserved some comfort food after all that crying!  (And so did Mommy!)

Thursday:  Preschool and a playdate.

Friday:  Bug's Big Day at preschool!  She got to pick out the book during storytime, put her name on the "Big Day Board", pick her snack first at preschool among other fun things.  But the most exciting part was that she got to open the door when it was time to get picked up!  She knocked on the door and said "Come in!" and then opened the door for the parents.  Mommy, Daddy, Lainey and Gigi were waiting first in line to see her! She did a great job, and was very proud.  Unfortunately, she saw us waiting for her and started crying, but she pulled it together for the big moment!

Lulu was very excited to pick up her big sister!

"Come in please!"

Bug's Big Day!

Her "cubby".

Introducing Gigi to Teacher Mary Beth.

The girls ganged up on us when we got into Pearl and both of them started screaming!  I guess it was time for some milk!

Saturday:  Bug spent the night at Gigi and Babu's house, while I got to give Lulu some much needed one-on-one time.  Lainey soaked up all the attention and Hailey had a great time eating junk, chasing the puppies and jumping on a friends trampoline!  It was nice to spend some quite time with Lulu, but I did have to wear sunglasses when I was waving bye-bye to Bug and watching Gigi's car pull away because I was already missing her and crying!

Loving all the attention from Mommy!

What's this?

Enjoying a little tea, in her teacup dress.

Oops!  We're still not great on the whole sitting upright thing.  It's overrated anyways!

At Chick Fil A with Babu!

Jumping on the trampoline!

Enjoying some "weegles" after a long morning of jumping.

Lulu, looking very content after a long day of lovin' from Mommy!

Tomorrow we have an entire day of landscaping planned and then we start it all over again on Monday.  Plus, we're going to try to squeeze in 3 playdates!  Fortunately, we have massages planned for Sunday next week!  I don't know what I'm looking forward to more, the massage, or just getting to lay down for and hour and a half...in complete silence...
