We're home from another fun filled week in Florida. We soaked up lots of sunshine, spent time with family and kept Miss Buggy busy the whole time (and wore Mommy out!)
Our first stop (on St. Patrick's Day) was the Zoo and Bug loved it! We went with Grandma and Grandpa Kinard, Aunt Kelly and Uncle Dan and my personal baby nurse who accompanied me throughout the entire trip, Granny Nanny (aka Gigi). I'm not sure if she liked the animals best, or just being able to run around the entire zoo like a wild donkey! Either way, I know she had a good time.
Of course, no Florida visit is complete without a trip (or two or six!) in the pool! The water was "invigorating" in mid March and I was starting to regret purchasing that maternity swimsuit!
The ladies left Bug with Great Gran Gran and Grandpa for a few hours and spent the morning enjoying a delicious waterfront lunch and beautiful boat cruise of Palm Beach and it's amazing mansions!
Hailey was super happy to see her Florida friends, Sasha, Selah and their new baby sister Sofia! I wasn't surprised when she wanted nothing to do with that sweet baby! Aside from trying to throw a soccer ball at her, Bug had no interaction with baby Sofia at all!
Bug couldn't control her excitement when she saw her friend Chloe!
My favorite part of the visit was our trip to the beach. We didn't even wear our swimsuits because I was convinced that Bug would see the big ocean, waves and sand and run for the hills screaming and crying, but I was (partially) wrong! Hailey spent two hours there, observing the ocean, waves and sand safely from Mommy's hip. If she wasn't clinging to me (or a grandparent) she was sitting quietly on her beach towel, digging in the sand and counting sea shells.
Warning! Belly Pic! Me at 25 weeks, and baby's first "trip" to the beach!
I tried to get a picture of Buggy's toes in the sand, but she was not a fan of the way it felt. So this is the best I could do!
We spent the remainder of our visit running around outside, enjoying the great weather, taking daily "Buggy rides" with Great Gran Gran and relaxing by the pool.
It was a great visit, but I think we're both worn out!
What fun! Holly you are beautiful!! And how did you get such a perfectly beautiful round belly? I love your beach belly pic. Adorable!
ReplyDeleteYou look great!! I love living vicariously through your blog...sure wish we were in Florida! Looks like you guys had a lot of fun!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun trip! You look amazing! And don't worry about Hailey having nothing to do with babies. When other toddlers are around, Gianna still acts like Mark doesn't exist (babies are SO boring :))! But they play nicely when they're alone. Hope you're feeling good!
