With Hailey's sister due in less than 14 weeks, I've really been feeling the pressure of "popping" out another sweet girl as perfect as Buggy. This poor second child is going to have some pretty spirited, spunky and absolutely adorable shoes to fill!
We had a fantastic day today, with a relaxing morning with Daddy, a trip to Target for some groceries, long afternoon naps and a much needed (and overdue!) playdate with Caroline H. and her mommy, Lauren. I'm so thankful to have found such an awesome friend, and fellow preggers, to spend my afternoons with!
(Can you believe I didn't even think about taking pictures during our playdate?! you know the mommies were in "good gossip mode" when that happens!)
We also had another fun playdate with Robert and his mommy yesterday, and Buggy made sure to stay fully clothed during the entire playdate this time!
Before "Bee Ba" showed up, Bug helped me finish my new favorite indulgence. A Chick Fil A banana pudding milkshake. Heaven!
Robert was less than enthused about playing Princess Tea Party with Buggy.
And Bug wasn't too happy when Robert decided to take her toy laptop from her!
We eventually got it back and the crises was resolved.
They practiced taking care of the baby since they are both going to have a new sibling this summer. (Bug is attempting to give "the baby sister" kisses so she can go night-night.)
I'd say we need to work on our baby handling skills. Otherwise, her sister is going to be seriously injured within the first week!
Bug is already practicing calling "Bee Ba" so she knows what to do when they're teenagers!
She was very proud of the tower that she built this afternoon!
And she's been acting like her belly button is the most fascinating thing she's ever seen!
We sure did luck out with this little girl, and I'm just hoping that my grandma isn't right, and Buggy isn't my only "good child" and my next one isn't going to be my "difficult one!"
I had those same worries when I was pregnant w/ my 2nd boy...I couldn't believe that I could have another one just as wonderful as my first son. But, somehow it did happen (and my 2nd one was easier and much more laid back - thank goodness!). My two boys are both equally adorable and have their unique personalities. You're going to love having the 2 girls close in age too - the first year will be tough, but then they'll be best buds and it'll make your life easier! Good luck Holly!!
ReplyDeleteIt is amazing how they can be so alike and also so different! But you will love them both so much! Lillian is only 6 months old (Josephine will be 2 in April) and they are already having fun together! I'm so excited for you! and Hailey!
ReplyDeleteAdorable! I see Julia came out and introduced herself. :)
