We couldn't have picked a better weekend, with more amazing friends and family, if we tried.
Friday Granny Nanny was on duty while I went to my prenatal checkup. Everything is great and the baby's heartbeat is in the 140's. I was surprised that I've only gained 10 pounds so far, considering the fact that I've been eating my weight in Chick-Fil-A nuggets and have pretty much forgotten where our gym is located! I'm only halfway through though, so I've got time to catch up to my 50+ pound weight gain I acquired with Miss Buggy! Perhaps it has something to do with chasing a 21 month old around night and day whose feet don't stop running until I put her in her crib at night (and even then, she spends about an hour kicking the sides of her crib until she falls asleep or gets one of her chubby little legs wedged between the rails!)
Granny got here when we woke up on Friday, and stayed until Miss Bug was through with her bedtime bath. Hailey had a blast, and I loved having someone else around to help me entertain Hailey on a rainy day.
Bouncing balls down the stairs...their favorite playtime activity.
Watching Umi Zoomi.
And of course, coloring. We color every day in this house!
Saturday we spent the afternoon with our friends the DeAngelo's and their sweet kiddos Bella and Jack. We met them while Doug was in the Navy and are so happy that we've been able to keep in touch over all these years.
After a short nap, we went out for Mexican with my all time favorite people, the Bouckes. Julie is the sister I never had (she tells it like it is and always has my back) and I just love her babies! You know you've got good friends when you can still have a blast with them and be the only one not drinking! We talked and gossiped until after 10pm! And Hailey had the best time ever! She was running around that house, rosy cheeked and sweating all night long!
Holding hands with her new favorite friend.
"Bromance".
"Peek-a-boo!"
Sharing her Goldfish.
Yo Gabba Gabba marathon.
It's been a fantastic weekend so far, and we've still got a fun Super Bowl party planned for tonight with Caroline and her parents! Go Bears! (Sorry, I'm still in denial!)
We had the BEST time ever. As always.
