When the thermometer reached 70 degrees outside, and the sun was shining bright, we caught a bit of Spring Fever and headed outside for the day! I've been moping around the house with another cold and was more than excited to get some fresh air.
It was, as Fancy Nancy would say, a Splendiforous day! No offense to my Midwestern relatives, but I just could not handle getting 2 feet of snow dumped on me like you did today. And to my Florida family, it's nice to visit, but I need my seasons! Today gave us just the pick me up we needed, and got us looking forward to SPRING in Virginia!!
It's hard to take pictures of Buggy now because she wants to look at "He" (her word for Hailey) as soon as I take the picture! Here she is trying to grab the camera to look at herself while I'm taking a picture!
After over 2 hours of playing (we took a very early nap in anticipation of this fun filled afternoon outside!) we came in for a snack and some crafts, with every window in the house wide open!
Singing the Dora the Explorer song and pointing excitedly at her "Dura" coloring book. It was a pretty successful color-time with Bug only racking up 2 time-outs! One for turning her back to me a taking a bite out of a crayon (a blue one this time! At least she's switching things up a bit!), and the second one for coloring on her Anywhere Chair while I was refilling her snack trap with grapes! Yes Gigi, your granddaughter does get time-outs!
Then, while we were putting together every puzzle in her playroom (she has 10!) the mailman delivered her Kelly's Kids bathing suit! Of course we had to try it on! Just the thought of me wearing a bathing suit while 9 months pregnant makes me itchy and nauseous :/ Perhaps I will take a note from my daughter and learn to embrace my belly, and even flaunt it happily like she does!

Today was a lovely gift from God and we can't wait for spring to get here!
