Mama is tired.
Doug and I went out to dinner with some of our friends last night, and it sure did make me feel old. Our reservations weren't until almost 8pm (which is bedtime for this old, pregnant fart), the food was way to fancy for my pregnant palate (I was secretly hoping a pile of Chick-Fil-A nuggets would appear on the table), and everyone around me was way too skinny and trendy for my liking (my maternity "belly leggings" and over sized sweater weren't cutting it!) Since we had childless dinner plans, that meant Granny Nanny was on duty for the evening. Bug was asking for Gigi all afternoon and once she got here, the fun, and hyperactivity began!
We came home from dinner around 10:30pm to a wired child. We're still suspicious as to what Gigi put in Bug's sippy cup because we were up until after midnight (we as in, me and Hailey. Daddy and Granny were nice and cozy in their beds while I got stuck with the night shift.) Once I finally coaxed my daughter into her bed, I laid my tired, pregnant body on the bed and just as I started to drift off into a peaceful slumber, my other child, the one baking in my belly, decided to have a dance party...all. night. long. So, after a morning of ushering at our church and cleaning the house, this Mama is dog tired.
Bug couldn't wait to have a sleepover with Gigi!
They made a fort, bounced balls down the stairs, played Play-doh, and ran around like wild donkeys all day!
Both sporting some serious bedhead and enjoying a yummy (and questionably nutritious) breakfast of berries, Kix, Fruity Pebbles and Cinnamon rolls.
Playing Play-doh with Daddy and Granny.
Kissing her wiener dog that Gigi made for her out of Play-doh.
Blowing off some steam in the chilly January weather with Daddy. Hopefully this will help ensure a nice long nights rest for all of us!
Yep. This Mama is tired today. But I'm sure not tired of kissing on my sweet little girls face!
I'm guessing it is the hair being different, but it sure seems like she's growing to me. Still a cute little lady though!
