Hailey and Lainey had the BEST time on their 3rd Annual Camping Weekend with Gigi and Babu at Pocahontas State Park. They swam, hiked, rode their bikes all over, played in the camper, caught bugs, frogs and butterflies, snuggled by the fire and made lasting memories. Babu even taught Lainey how to ride her bike without training wheels! Hailey turned the tent into a lifesize bug cage. She had the whole thing filled with butterflies, dragonflies, beetles and frogs! They spent about 90 percent of the weekend biking all over the campground (especially the camp store for treats and candy with Babu!)
Meanwhile, Avery loved the solo time with Mommy and Daddy. (She'll be with the camping crew next year! Babu's only rule. "No diapers at the campground!") We had the added excitement of a summer storm and power-outage which turned out to be a blessing in disguise. The weather was beautiful, so we left the windows open, took lots of naps, played outside and enjoyed lots of dates out since we only had one child! It was a very relaxing weekend!
We picked the campers up on Father's Day, gave Babu big Father's Day hugs, went to Waffle House for a Father's Day brunch, and then came home and showered Daddy with homemade cards a hugs.
