Quarantined!!!

When we spend our summer in germy places like the pool...

...and gymnastics...

...and mall food court playgrounds...

...and bouncy houses...

...I shouldn't have been surprised to find all of us here...

We made not one, not two but THREE different trips to the doctor this week.  Five family members.  Four different illnesses.  Mommy and Lainey had the same illness, pneumonia.  But poor Lulu also had an ear infection.  Daddy and Hailey both had bronchitis and Avery decided to do her own thing and get Hand, Foot Mouth.  

Thank goodness for drugs!!  The Kinard pharmacy was fully stocked!

Hailey needed an inhaler...

Lulu was giving a strong dose of antibiotics...

And poor Avery had to make due with just good old fashioned Tylenol.  

So what do you do when you're quarantined in your home, in the middle of summer, with three sick kids when you're sick yourself?  Well, besides the obvious answer of self medicating by drinking heavily, we had to get creative.

We made lots of forts...

.Made animal puppets and put on a puppet show...

Made and devoured icecream cones...

...and cupcakes.  Can you guess which one is Hailey's?!

Watched and danced to Frozen, over and over again....

And when we were too run down to perform Frozen, we watched it Mommy's bed with our Elsa and Anna dolls.  

Avery spent lots of time in her swing.

We made a pretend car wash to wash our cars and Barbies.  

And of course, Avery's baby toys are always entertaining!

Three doctor visits, multiple drug refills, lots of snuggle time in our jammies and two dozen cupcakes later...we're finally starting to kick this sick weekend to the curb.  

Here's to a new week, full of healthy, happy girls, covered in hand sanitizer from here on out!
