Hello 2014!

2014 is going to be our best year yet.  I can just feel it!  I mean, how can you not have a great year when you get to spend every day with these three cuties?!!

Once Christmas was over, I hit a brick wall...hard...and haven't gotten out of my sweatpants or done a single productive thing since I cleaned up Christmas dinner!  And it's been awesome.  Our New Year's Eve was perfect.  We all went to Ledo's for pizza and Mommy and Daddy split a New Year's pitcher of beer and then we ran around the Children's Museum and painted pottery at All Fired Up.  We came home and put on our jammies, and celebrated with a "silly hat parade."  We all put on silly hats and marched around the house yelling "Happy New Year!"  Of course, the New Year came a little early in our house (7:30pm) and we were all sound asleep  by 9pm.  The girls had fun coming up with New Year's resolutions this year.  Hailey resolved to swim all the way across the pool this summer and to meet a princess.  Lainey resolved to go to the playground and to eat blue lollipops and "nuffing else!"

New Year's Eve Day 2013

Lainey painted a pig at All Fired Up.

Hailey painted a "Frozen Fairy Snow Queen Elsa."  (Continue reading to learn about her latest obsession with the movie Frozen!)

Matching jammies for our New Year's parade!

Our favorite gift in 2013, Avery Claire.

Playing in their new playhouse.

Avery's first New Year's Eve.

Daddy and his little football.

 Happy 4 Months Avery Claire!

I know I've said it before, but this little girl is the.  best.  baby.  period.  She's such a good baby, that she makes me want to have another one!!  Soon!!  (Don't get too excited grandparents...the verdict is still out on that one...)  She is super sweet and cuddly, rarely cries, sleeps 13 hours at night (and has been since she was 2 months old!) and she sure does love her Mommy.  I am guaranteed a chubby, toothless grin every single time I look at this little nugget.  She just turned 4 months and is cooing, drooling, smiling and rolling over!  We just can't get enough of her.

Avery Claire, 4 months old.

Another blue eyed beauty!

She loves her thumb!

She's such a good sleeper!  She will nap anywhere, anytime.  Even when her big sisters are running around like wild donkeys!

They love their baby sister.

FROZEN!!! (Again!)

So long Ariel obsession.  After 2 solid years of not stop Little Mermaid, Hailey has moved on to newer, icier princesses.  She saw Disney's "Frozen" with Gigi the day after Thanksgiving, and she hasn't been able to talk or think or sing about anything else!  Doug and I had to take her to see it again to satisfy her Frozen addiction a little bit and so that we knew what in the heck she was talking about and reenacting day in and day out!  It's such a cute movie and I'm thankful for that because I'm sure we're going to be seeing it many more times!

Headed to see Frozen with Elsa and Anna in tow!

She was so excited!

Waiting for the movie to start.  She even wore gloves because she was pretending to be Elsa with frozen hands!

Reenacting the story with her dolls.

She LOVES Elsa!!

Playing Frozen games on Daddy's ipad.

Watching movie clips and listening to the songs from the movie on my phone...over and over again.

Pretending to be Elsa.  Thank goodness it's been cold enough to make ice on the ground.  She loves running around, pretending that she's freezing things!

 Hailey's Going to Disney World!!

We couldn't have asked for a better time to tell Hailey that she's going to Disney World next month!  We originally thought that we would spend our entire trip visiting all things Ariel.  But now, it looks like we will be in the world of Elsa, Anna and all things "Frozen."  The change is refreshing and she is over the moon excited!

We're only taking Hailey this time, but Lulu's time will come.  Maybe next year.  Regardless, she's still going to have a blast getting all of Grandma and Grandpa's attention while Sissy is gone!

Putting a sticker on their daily countdown to Disney calendar!

Elsa and her little sister Anna.  Poor Lulu.  She is always her big sister's fantasy sidekick.  For the past two years it was Flounder (see below!), so at least she's made the step up from fish to human!

Pretending to freeze things with her magic wand.

Daddy/Daughter Date

Daddy and Hailey had a Daddy/Daughter date to a University of Richmond women's basketball game.  Hailey had a blast and she loved watching the cheerleaders!  They were all elementary girls from schools in the area!

Of course Elsa and Anna had to go to the game too.

Lainey enjoyed some Mommy/Lainey time while Sissy was gone.  She got a mani/pedi and makeover from Mommy.

Baby It's Been Cold Outside!

It's been COLD!  So cold that one of our pipes in our laundry room froze!!  I didn't even know that could happen!  We've been forced to be lazy, stay in our jammies all day, eat junk food, watch tv and play games all day, every day for the past two weeks!  I'm not going to lie.  It's been fabulous!

Playing Twister with my girls!

Jenga!

It didn't take long for our game of Jenga to turn into tower building with blocks.  Oh well.

Playing in the playroom.

Princess dressup!  Sleeping Beauties!

Lulu, pretending to be her favorite princess, Sleeping Beauty.

Three Little Princesses.

Watching the Polar Express during quiet time.

Watching Tangled on a rainy afternoon.  (And a rare finger sucking moment caught on camera of Hailey!)

Ladies and Gentlemen, Princess Sofia!

More Sofia dressup, with her Sofia doll.

Sofia, and her baby sister Avery.
Showing off her dress to Lainey, before Lainey went to gymnastics.

Gymnastics With Ella!

Lainey is so excited that her best friend Ella joined her gymnastics class!

War Eagle!

The girls were very excited to cheer on Daddy's favorite team during the National Championship!

Auburn's cutest and tiniest superfans!

Daddy and his little Auburn Tigers.

Grandma and Grandpa at the BCS National Championship game.

The girls had lots of fun watching the game with Daddy.

Unfortunately, they didn't win.  Lainey and Daddy were not happy about it either!

Back To School!

It's been an adjustment getting the girls back on a schedule after many lazy weeks of Christmas Break, but I think we're all thankful for a little bit of structure and routine again!

We love St. Stephen's Preschool!!

Cupcakes after their first day back to preschool.

Lainey's Big Day!

Lainey had her big day this week and the whole family came to see her!  She was so cute standing at the front of the class, singing "I'm a Little Snowman, short and fat.  Here are my buttons, here is my hat!"  She loved showing Sissy all of her artwork and Hailey had fun playing with the toys in her old stomping grounds.

I don't usually make New Year's resolutions, but this year I want to make sure that I slow down, and enjoy the journey.  These are some of the most stressful but FUN years of our lives and I want to soak up every minute of them.

2014, Here we come!!!
