Lainey's Big Day and The Whisker Fairy

 

Lulu had her first "Big Day" in the Purple Room last week.  Hailey tried to give her advice on how to knock on the door and say "Please come in!" to all of the Mommy's waiting outside the door.  However, Lainey was way too excited to see not only Mommy when she opened the door, but also her big sis and little sis!  She couldn't control her excitement and darted straight towards her sisters once she opened the door!  Lainey loved showing her sisters around the Purple Room and Hailey enjoyed touring her old stomping grounds. 

 

Hailey got to skip school for the day because she had to go to the doctor to get her "whiskers" out.  She was very brave and didn't cry at all!  We were both surprised to learn about the "Whisker Fairy" from the doctor as she was getting her stitched out too!  The doctor told her to put her whiskers under her pillow at bedtime and the next morning she would find a surprise under her pillow!  (Mommy would have appreciated a little heads up on this one doc!)  Hailey did what the doctor said and the next morning she found an Ariel paperdoll kit, and an Ariel t-shirt!  She also realized that the Whisker Fairy took her whiskers too, and she was not happy about that.  We had to call the doctor and ask him if he could call the Whisker Fairy and ask her to bring her stitches back during naptime.  Fortunately, she got the message and now Bug has been playing with her whiskers and bringing them with her wherever she goes!

 

 

Big morning for the big girls!  Lulu's first Big Day and Hailey was getting her whiskers out!

Lainey loved showing her big sis how she gets dropped off for school each morning.

On Lainey's big day, she gets to sit in the special purple chair and pick out the story at storytime.  She picked out 5 Little Monkeys, of course.  She was very excited to show me the special chair, but she was not as excited about me taking her picture in it.  She pretended to be asleep.  Little Stinker. 

Reading the special book from her preschool class that she gets to take home on her big day.  She loved pointing out all of her friends and Teachers Ann and Jody, or "JAN" as she calls them:-)

Hailey was very happy to see that the Whisker Fairy came to visit her!!
