It's been a crazy month! Between packing, moving to our new home, taking care of sick kids and a sick husband and planning and executing Hailey's 4th birthday party, I am still amazed that I haven't checked myself into a mental institution!!
Our month went a little like this: First Hailey was sick with the norovirus, then Lainey and I got sick while we were trying to pack up our entire house for the move. Then Doug got sick while we were closing and moving into our new house. He spent 3 of our 4 moving days locked inside our old rental house trying to get better while I attempted to unpack and set up our new house by myself, while 20 weeks pregnant!
During all of that lovely chaos, the girls spent Thursday through Sunday at Gigi and Babu's house, oblivious to Mommy and Daddy's stressful situation. As far as they were concerned, they got to spend a fun long weekend with Gigi and Babu and when they came back, their new house would be perfectly unpacked and ready to play in. And it basically was! After 4 days, we were moved in, pictures on the walls and everything! We still some furniture, rugs and light fixtures to buy, but for the most part we're settled. Within the first few days, we were showered with gift baskets from our awesome neighbors and have even met a few babysitters who live next door! The girls have hit up all 3 parks which are in walking distance and have been LOVING their new rooms and playroom! The pool across the street opens later this month and I've already signed Bug up for swimming lessons and tennis lessons! I love every single inch of this house. It smells new, it's clean and we are still close to everything!
The next day, Grandma and Grandpa came to visit for a week to see our new house and to celebrate Daddy's 34th birthday and Hailey's 4th birthday (birthday post coming soon!). They were also here for our 20 week ultrasound where we found out that we're having another sweet baby girl!!! We couldn't be happier:)
It's been a chaotic month, that's for sure. But it's been fun chaos and I will treasure every hectic moment:)
