We welcomed our newest bundle of love into the world on June 11, 2011 at 12:52am! Lainey Brooke Kinard was 5 pounds 12 ounces and 18 1/2 inches long and born on a Saturday at St. Mary's Hospital in Richmond, VA. To quote her pediatrician, "She's a rockstar!" At 36 weeks and 6 days she's considered premature, but you wouldn't know it! She's eating and sleeping like a champ and has quickly won over all of our hearts! She's already on my good list because she waited to make her appearance until after my pedicure and hair appointments! I actually started to have contractions while I was getting my hair done! Her delivery was pretty close to perfect too! I only pushed for 3 minutes and out she came!
Hailey had been a great big sister, and loves giving Lainey kisses. Bug was especially pleased to see that her little sister brought her a present! A Dora the Explorer backpack filled with goodies for her to play with!
Our first night at home went very well, and we're hoping that tonight will be the same. So far the transition from a family of three to a family of four has been smooth and we're all feeling very blessed!
