We're down for the count again and this Mama saw it coming from a mile away.
It could have been the "sick bag" she laid on all day yesterday...
Or the fact that she woke up screaming in the middle of the night.
It could have been her general disinterest in the outdoors...
Or her need to put everything in her mouth (not highly unusual for Bug, but I can tell her throat is hurting her)..
Maybe it was her "trance like" TV watching during this mornings playdate with Boss (also not unusual for my mini-couch potato)...
Or it could have been the two solid hours she spent screaming and crying at Boss' house...
All of these things are signs that Buggy is coming down with a bad cold. But the surefire way to tell if my girl is getting sick...she shows Mama lots of affection and gets super cuddly.
Even Boss knew Buggy needed a little extra lovin' today! (I LOVE this little guy!)
Yep. That's when I knew Buggy was sick. She actually wanted to sit in my lap and get cuddled. So we've cancelled our afternoon plans, and you know I'm going to milk this opportunity for all it's worth! We're putting on some comfy clothes, laying on the couch and snuggling!
If you need me, I'll be soaking up my little girl's hugs...until Saturday, when she'll want nothing to do with me again...sigh.
First off, she did NOT cry while she was here. She was an absolute angel considering that she didn't feel well.
ReplyDeleteI just bedded my three down and I'm under the covers myself.
Sure hope this is a fast moving sickness. In the meantime, enjoy those snuggles.
I totally understand. When Isabella was that age and she got sick, I remember she snuggled on the couch with me and watched TV for the first time ever. It was the only upside of her being sick.
