Kick Us While We're Down

No rest for the weary here in the Kinard household.  The hits just keep on coming!  Guess who's sick again?!  We maybe had 2 healthy days in between the Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease excitement and this new lovely virus.  (But she couldn't let us get bored during those 2 days, so she decided to chip her front tooth on the bathtub!  Thanks for always keeping us on our toes Buggy!)  Upon leaving the Pediatricians office today, I was presented with a "Frequent Visitors Card!"

I guess I should have seen the warning signs leading up to this pathetic photo...

1)  Her little rosey cheeks.  Symptom: 103 fever

2)  Her new found joy of spitting out her lunch and making a nice pile of mush on her bib.  Symptom: sore throat.

3)  Her all around disinterest in breakfast, lunch and dinner.  Symptom:  Loss of appetite.

4)  And her new love of icecream (or anything cold) and ability to devour it in record time!  Symptom:  sore throat/pain relief.

5)  Her lack of excitement during another one of Granny Nanny's picture taking sessions...although, that feeling was pretty much shared by everyone (except Granny Nanny!)  She's also been shoving her little hands in her mouth as much as she can lately like she's trying to reach her throat and her baby breath is kicking!  (Sorry Buggy, but you're stinky!)  Symptom:  fatigue, sore throat and post nasal drip  (and boredom from Granny's never ending pictures!  We love you Granny!)

6)  The fact that one, she let me paint her toenails without a fight, and two, she sat in her "pedicure chair" for an hour and let her "pretties" dry!  Symptom:  fatigue

Yes, I guess I should have seen this coming, but really?  We were just at the pediatricians office for an entirely different sickness last week!  Diagnosis:  a bad virus that will hopefully run it's coarse quickly.

We are so O-V-E-R being sick!

  1. Oh, Holly. You have my sympathies. There is just nothing worse than a sick kid. We've certainly had our fair share around here, too. I will send up extra prayers for FAST healing for precious little Buggy. Hope y'all can all rest a lot this weekend.
