How Bizarre!

Today has been jam packed with "bizarre/bazaar" events!  The most shocking of them being the fact that I, yes the Queen of "Pear Shaped/Not meant for running" women finished a 10K today and ran the whole thing!  I'm still shocked that I didn't puke or that medic didn't have to haul me away, pumped full of fluids!  My super sweet husband even forfited his chance at winning the whole race so he could run next to me the whole time (aka with the "slow folk"). Love you Doug;)  Go Team Dolly!

After our big morning running the Monument 10k (we were two of almost 40,000 people running!) Granny Nanny and I hit up the Semi-Annual "Bizarre Bazaar" where I stocked up on TONS of loot for Little Miss Buggy!  Hello!  Smocked dresses for $15?!  What?!!  So of course I had to buy 12!  Not only were those prices bizarre, but the fact that I was expecting to be banned to the daybed in Hailey's room for the night, with my credit cards taken away, once I showed Doug how much I bought...but wait for it...he said..."Happy wife, happy life!"  Forget the 10K,  I'm still catching my breath after that comment!  Clearly he's still light-headed from the race.  (Yes Grandmama and Grandaddy, there's an Auburn Tigers Dress in there!!  Wareagle!)

After all that shopping, Buggy was ready to veg for awhile with her Daddy and watch a little Baby Einstein.  (Doug with his Mini-me!)

I'm also finding it bizarre at how quickly our little nugget is growing up!  She's pulling up whenever she can and is getting into EVERYTHING!

She's already big enough for her Lion Ride that Aunt Kelly and Uncle Dan got her!

When we opened that toy on Christmas, I remember thinking that she wouldn't be able to ride that for a LONG time!

She's also decided to retire her oh so unique "solider crawl" for your typical baby crawl!

It's also quite bizaare how quickly my daughters love of oral hygiene has developed!
"Mommy, Daddy needs to floss between 24 and 25!"

And finally, it's so bizarre that it's almost Easter already, which means one more month until our sweet girl is a year old!  I'm going to need Kleenex some Prozac and a strong martini that day!!
Time sure does fly!

  2. Congrats on the 10K. I hate running. I like Doug's motto, "Happy wife, happy life" is right.
