Manic Monday!

We all know the old saying, "You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink."  Well it's similar to, "You can take a baby to baby music class, but you can't make her participate, or have a good time for that matter!"

Yes, today's "Musik Garten" class did not go as smoothly as I had hoped.
Apparently, all these months we've spent indoors, hibernating during these winter snow storms, have made our daughter afraid of strangers and changes in playtime scenery.  She spent most of the music hour squirming, fussing and clinging to me for dear life!  I can't wait to see how Baby Gym class goes on Saturday...ugh!

After music class, I was finally able to peal my daughter off of me long enough to play with her main squeeze Robert (who is going through the same thing, but 10 times worse!).

They mainly enjoyed pulling eachothers hair, since the last time they saw eachother, they were both practically bald!

Rob's mommy liked to watch Hailey's "soldier crawl."

After our playdate, I put on our music CD we got from class this morning and brought out some of our instruments.  Hopefully, if we listen to the music enough, next week will go a little more smoothly.  Surprise, surprise!  Hailey's favorite thing to do is chew on her drumsticks!

She had the hardest time trying to get to them because she couldn't figure out how to go from sitting to crawling when something was put in front of her.
Her legs kept getting in the way!
She finally figured it out, even though it wasn't very graceful.  She pretty much just fell over!

Then we played with our ball blower.
She likes chasing the balls that fly out, and then putting them in her mouth.
And pulling up the foam flooring and putting it in her mouth...are we noticing a trend yet?

Then we played Peek-A-Boo with our scarf from music class.

This picture is strictly for Grandpa Ben, who seems to think that Buggy doesn't need to wear a bib.  Note the large drool spot on her shirt!

Some more "Peek-A-Boo" pictures!  We had lots of fun doing that today!

And a few scary pictures of me, because there are never any pictures of me on here with Hailey :(
YIKES!

Finally, it's nap time (at 5pm! I guess we'll be up late tonight!).  Buggy has figured out how to turn on her aquarium in her crib, which is going to make naptime a little more difficult!

  1. She is adorable! I hope music class goes better next week. I love playing scarf peek-a-boo. It is fun. That was cute watching her try to go from sitting to crawling. Hope we can see you guys at the end of the month!
