A Day Full of Firsts

Hailey woke up this morning SO excited because it's Friday, and that means she gets to see her Daddy a lot more over the weekend!  "T.G.I.F" she says!

This particular Friday has been full of lots of new "firsts" for Buggy....

It was the first day all week that she got to spend lunch with her favorite guy!

Her first toothy smile caught on camera.

Her first time (of I'm sure many if she's anything like her parents!) eating a pickle!  Here's the play-by-play...

1) "Really Mommy?  I'm allowed to eat this?  Promise I won't get in trouble?"

2) The first lick.

3) And the first reaction!

4) "What is this?!"

5) The second lick.

6) "Hmmm.  Pretty tasty!"

7)  Then we had to pry it out of her mouth soon after that.  There really was no hope for her...her Mommy and Daddy could eat pickles at every meal!

Poor pickle has seen better days!

Today was also the first time she tried her new favorite snack, Veggie Crunchies!  She will now demonstrate her latest trick...

"Now you see it..."

"now you dont!"

She also likes to change character while she's snacking.

This is her impersonation of an old man smoking a cigar.

And a thug smoking, well, you get the idea!

I feel the need to insert a P.S.A here now..."Kids, smoking is bad," and "Friends don't let friends drink and jump."  (See below for that last one)

Hailey FINALLY drank out of her sippy cup all by herself!  Why she decided to accomplish this great milestone while she was jumping in her bouncer is beyond me...I'm sure it made completing this task much more diffucult than it needed to be...but I'm still pround of her regardless!

Today was also the first time she was able to grab that darn bird off her jumper and get it in her mouth!  She's been reaching for that stupid tucan since the day we brought the jumper home!

We also put together her new toy from "Santa" in florida and played with it for the first time today.  She loves it! (Thank you!)

And finally, today was the first day in 3 months that we have been able to go for a nice long walk in our stroller and lay a blanket down outside and play!*  The weather was beautiful and I couldn't think of a better way to end this very productive and exciting day!

*sorry there are no pictures of that.  my camera battery died.  could it be because i take an excessive amount of pictures of my beautiful daughter everyday?  Nah!!
