Our family beach vacation relocation was on again and off again since December. The thought of taking our big crew to the beach (or anywhere for that matter!) for a week was daunting. We finally pulled the trigger and made last minute plans to visit Myrtle Beach, SC. It was touristy, tacky and full of cheesy rides, restaurants and activities. The girls were in vacation heaven! Caleb loved the sand and the waves and had a blast splashing around in the waterpark!
Packing was grueling, carting a baby around to parks, museums and the beach was exhausting and I spent most of the trip washing clothes in the room while my baby boy napped so he could make a feeble attempt to keep up with his big sisters! Right as I was beginning to complain, I realized that this was the last time we will ever have a baby on our summer family beach trip. Then I put down the laundry basket and picked up my yummy baby boy. I'm so grateful for the many memories made on this first summer vacation as a family of six.

Everyone's favorite part of our trip was the water park inside our resort! The girls were dare devils on the water slides! We even snuck Lainey on the big slides by tricking the lifeguards into thinking she was Hailey after Hailey passed the height requirement!

Another Beach Trip, Another Hermit Crab (or two!)
Our family trip to the beach wouldn't be complete without bringing home a hermit crab or two! Because I need two more living creatures to take care of like a need a hole in the head!! Introducing Kermit and Hermit the brother crabs. Let's hope these guys last longer than "Hermie" did. (or not!)
