First Days of School for our Daisies!

It's going to be a great school year at St. Catherine's for Hailey and Lainey!!  Hailey is so excited about being a big 1st grader!  She told us that she already feels older and smarter and that the kindergartners look "so little!"  Her favorite part about 1st grade is that she gets her very own desk (and that she doesn't have to take naps!)  She's also excited about having Gardening once a week at their school garden and can't wait to have homework!  Lainey can't wait to start her JK journey in Mrs. Waechter's class.  She gets to start in the newly renovated JK building!  She loves the Smartboard, the dress up area and she really loves her new backpack!  She also can't wait to learn Spanish and Chinese and to read books!
While first days are always hard for me (I left 1st grade orientation in tears, and couldn't turn them off for the rest of the day!), it makes the transition so much easier knowing that they are in such a fantastic school!  Plus, out of fear of missing out on any moments during these fleeting early school years, I've volunteered myself for just about every position possible (Room parents, Grade Reps, Daisy Days Committee, Girl Scout Troop Leader, Parent Councils...you get the idea!) So they will be seeing lots of Mommy during their school year!!

Mr.s Warrens's 1st Grade Class 2015-2016

As I was holding back the Mama bear tears, I looked back and saw this little cutie smiling away at me.  Thank goodness she doesn't start for another 2 weeks!  

We went grocery shopping to distract ourselves (and load up on comforting junkfood!) and then went home and snuggled for the rest of the day!!!

Now I know why we have so many kiddos!  It's these darn first days of school!  I can't take it!  My babies are growing up WAY too fast :-(
