With rain in the forecast for most of the day, we decided to have a low key 4th of July celebration at home, which turned out to be perfect. We donned our festive patriotic attire, decorated the house, enjoyed some red, white and blue treats and had a parade around the house to kick start our Independence Day. We grilled hot dogs and burgers and then played in the yard until dusk when we roasted marshmallows by the fire, made s'mores and lit up the night with firecrackers, smoke bombs and sparklers. We topped off the night by watching more fireworks on tv at home, where it was cool and dry!
