Stitches, Sleepovers and New Teeth!

Our week started in tears and ended in big smiles with a whole lot of fun in between!

We've got the ER trip/stitches routine down by this point!  Hailey had her third trip to the ER for stitches this week.  I was just getting ready to take a (gasp!) nap with baby Avery, when I got the traumatic phone call from Babu (Babu was more traumatized than Hailey was!) that Hailey had hit her head twisting around in the swings across the street.  Serves me right for thinking that I could take a nap I guess!  He carried her home, both of them in tears, one of them with blood dripping down her neck.  I headed right upstairs to get our "trip to the hospital bag" - blankie, coloring books, water bottle, goldfish and a lolipop.  We loaded up the car and off we went, with Gigi in tow this time for support.  The nurses and doctors were incredible with Hailey.  They gave her a stuffed dog that she of course named "Princess" and even printed out Elsa coloring pages for her, after she sang "Let it go" for them.  Yes, while she was waiting to get stitches in her head!  She never passes up the chance to perform for an audience!  She left an hour later with four stitches in her head and a smile on her face.  Stay tuned next week to see if the "Whisker Fairy" makes another visit! 

The next day, our friends Owen, Ella and baby Hudson came over to see how Hailey was doing.  We ended up having so much fun, that we kept the party going!  Owen, Ella and their Mommy stayed for a sleepover and the girls were so excited!  They are still talking about it!

Lainey was invited to her first big girl birthday party!  Her friend from school had a bouncy house party and invited the girls.  It was so cute to see Lainey interacting with her preschool friends outside of school.  She's all grown up! 

Our sweet baby Avery turned 7 months old and has 2 teeth!!  She makes the silliest faces now as she's trying to get used to how they feel in her mouth and she's constantly touching them with her slobbery, chubby little fingers!  With 2 teeth, she's now even cuter!  (If that was even possible!)

The girls love when they both have preschool because they get to see each other in the halls.  Their teachers tell me that they always run up to each other and give each other big hugs!
