Our Not-So-Springlike-Spring-Break 2014

It started with snow and ended with a rainbow.  As far as weather is concerned, our spring break covered all the bases!  In an effort to keep us from going stir crazy with another week of no school, I went a little overboard with the activity scheduling and we were busier than ever this week!  Plus, Daddy was travelling for work almost every day!

The girls had fun frolicking in what I hope will be the last snowfall of the season, we all had dental appointments, haircuts, scheduled their birthday parties, between the two of them they had 5 playdates and 5 gymnastics classes, we visited Gigi and Babu twice where they bounced till they dropped at Inflation Nation and then they played for hours at Waller Mill Park, Hailey had 3 birthday parties to go to, and we did tons of playing at home.  And of course we watched "Frozen" 2 hundred bazillion times.  Throw a stomach bug on top of all of that, and that about sums up our Not-So-Springlike-Spring-Break!

Spring Snow!

Spring Break Snow!

Crafts with Elsa and Anna.

Happy to be stuck inside on another snow day with Mommy!

Lulu was not a fan of Hailey's rendition of "Let it go."

Making videos of themselves on Mommy's phone.

Watching videos of themselves on Mommy's phone.

Avery LOVES watching her silly sisters!!

Poor third girl.  She has to share her exersaucer with Baby Ariel and Cinderella!

Party Princess!

Hailey was the birthday party queen this spring break!  She went to a party at the County Club, a tea party at Maymont and bounced till she dropped at Kangaroo Jacs (also, the location of her 5th birthday party extravaganza!  Save the date!!)

Ready to escort my party princess to yet another party!!

Gigi and Babu's

The girls always have a blast at Gigi and Babu's house!

Lulu had fun playing in the rocks and with the puppies.

Hailey has been on a picture taking kick (wonder where she gets that from??!!) and had fun taking pictures of Gigi's spring flowers.

Avery was loving pretty spring weather!

Fun at Waller Mill Park

Gigi took the big girls to the park and they were in heaven!  They spent hours there!

Of course she had to look for worms!!

Dental Check Ups!!

Lulu had her first dental check up and she did GREAT!!  I was so proud of her!!!

Showing off her shiny clean teeth!  Another Crest Kid!

Hailey did great too!  Watching her little sister sit all by herself in the chair made Hailey do it too!

I can't believe Hailey has two loose teeth already!!!

The treasure chest is always a hit at Gigi's office.

Mommy had a check up too and apparently I'm clenching my teeth...hmm, ya think?!  I can't imagine why??!!  (Photo courtesy of Hailey Kinard Photography)

It was a family affair!  Even Uncle Poogie had a check up!

Since Avery doesn't have any teeth yet, she was happy to just roll around on the tooth blanket :)

Spring Hair Cuts!

The girls just kept making me proud this week!  Neither one of them made a peep during their hair cut appointments!

Shorter hair = less tangles = less whining in the morning = happy girls = happy Mommy!

I think they like their haircuts!

And I think they like each other!

Playing "leap frog."

Watching Frozen...again.

Little Mommy, feeding her baby.

Playdate Fun!

Decorating their "rocketship" with Robert and Joshua.  Hailey was pretending that the rocketship was going to Disneyworld.

It's pretty sad that the box that our diapers shipped in can comfortably fit 4 preschoolers!!

Fantastic Gymnastics!

The girls were super excited that they were able to do a gymnastics class at the same time this week!!  They were so cute cheering each other on from across the gym!  Lainey is also super excited to have her 3rd birthday party here!

Finally, Some Spring Weather!

Sharing a story and some Easter Egg candy in the playhouse.

It's not a day of outdoor play at our house without princess dressup and sidewalk chalk!

The girls were hard at work turning our front steps into a rainbow chalk masterpiece.

Lulu was very meticulous with her blue steps.

She colored away until every inch of her steps were colored blue.

What better way to end a fabulous week at home with my girls than with God's most beautiful sign of His love.  The girls wanted to go and look for the treasure at the end of the rainbow...

...if only they knew that THEY were the treasure!
