Merry Merry!

Merry Merry!  That's been our attitude lately!  Our house is decked out in red, green and, of course, Hailey's favorite color, "rainbow sparkly!"  We've been getting into the holiday spirit with Christmas decorations, cookies, carols, stories and tacky lights tours.  Hailey's favorite Christmas song this year is...wait for it...Feliz Navidad...sadly.  Yes, if I was in the car alone, I would turn the station immediately, but if Little Miss Christmas is in the car, then we must turn it up!  I must admit, it is cute to hear her interpretation of the lyrics!  The Elf on the Shelf made an appearance and the girls have loved seeing what silly hiding place he shows up in each morning.  Lainey, of course, was scared of "Elf" at first, but finally warmed up to him over time.  Mommy had to ask Santa to send him early because my two little girls were not being good sharers! 

 

During this busy season, I've tried to slow down a little bit more and enjoy this very special time.  I know the magic of Santa, and little one's in Christmas footie pajama's is fast and fleeting, and I'm trying to soak up every minute of it.  Sure, it may be New Year's before our Christmas cards are out, and our family members will probably just be getting generic gift cards for Christmas gifts this year (if we even get around to that!) but in the grand scheme of things, who really cares?  Sharing this magical time of year with our sweet girls is all we need this Christmas!

Lulu loves playing with the nativity and carries baby Jesus around all the time.  He has currently gone MIA because she likes to hide him in secret places around the house.

Lulu insists on giving me her "angry eyebrows" whenever I try to take her picture.  Little stinker!  To quote the man in Pleasants Hardware up the street, "Oh I can tell who the trouble maker is out of these three!!"  That's for sure! 

Looks like Santa already has someone for his "Nice" list and his "Naughty" list this year!!
