Chronicles of a Pregnant Woman

Well, I'm almost 34 weeks and we're really starting to get into baby mode around here!  The car seat is installed, and I've even started to pack my hospital bag.  We're all excited to meet our new baby girl and good lord I can't wait until I'm not pregnant anymore!!!  This is our third rodeo, and at this point, I'm just OVER being pregnant!  Don't get me wrong.  I love this little baby more than words, and I'm so thankful to be able to add to our growing flock of Kinard girls, but pregnancy exhaustion is like no other, and with two other exceptionally wild tots to chase after, it's almost unbearable.  Not a lot of time to rest with my feet elevated this time around!  (We didn't know how easy we had it with just one  baby!  What did I ever do with all of that free time?!)

I will miss feeling completely justified for being fat in the summer, and the fact that most people are probably staring at the ginormous watermelon under my swimsuit and not my ginormous butt.  Plus, when else can you eat a burger and hotdog at the pool and not worry about looking and feeling bloated?!  I also love maternity clothes.  Even though my wardrobe hasn't changed much, it is much more acceptable for an 8 1/2 month pregnant woman to wear black stretchy pants and a t-shirt out to dinner (and maybe even church!)  And I'm sure I will eventually miss feeling this little bambino rolling, punching, kicking and hiccupping away in my belly.

What I won't miss is the constant groping I get to endure on a daily basis now!  Yes random old lady at Kroger, I'm pregnant.  It wouldn't be appropriate for you to feel me up when I wasn't pregnant, so why do you feel the need to fondle my belly and waist in the middle of the produce aisle now?!  I also surely won't miss some of the lovely prenatal "accessories" that I've had the pleasure of experiencing this time around, like compression leggings, support bands and more (I will spare you.  Your welcome.)  Did I mention the exhaustion?!  And then there's the wonderful fact that it's July/August, the hottest months of the year!  And I can't leave out the headaches, reflux, swollen ankles, back pain, the pregnancy waddle and the constant 30 minutes trips to the bathroom (even at night!)

OK.  I feel better now.  Sometimes a girl just has to vent.  And document these lovely side effects because knowing me, in a year I'll be wanting to do this all over again!!!

Our weekly recap in pictures.  Enjoy!

Baby Bump Pics!

33 Weeks!

The girls with their babies.

Hugs for baby.

Kisses for baby.

It's a squeeze, but everyone will fit nice and snug in the middle row!  Giving babies a ride in the infant carseat.

Trip to the Dentist

Sitting in the dental chair all by herself!

My little Crest kid!  No cavities to date, just like Mommy! :-)

Picking out a prize from the treasure chest.

Lainey didn't feel like cooperating in the dental chair, so she decided to help Gigi work instead.

Pool Pics

Snow Cones with my girls.

What a difference a summer of swim lessons makes!!

Hailey's belly flops are epic.

Hailey, floating on her back.

Bug swam...

...and swam...

...and swam until they practically had to kick us out!  Notice the empty pool and the lifeguards in the background putting up the lounge chairs!!

And Lulu ate...

...and ate...

...and ate...

...until it was time to go home!  She loves pool food!

Visiting Gigi and Babu

Playing with worms at Gigi and Babu's.

Showing Lainey her worm.

 Handyman Babu!

Have I mentioned how much I love living 45minutes from my parents?!  Free childcare and childfree weekends are 2 pretty great perks, but we also have a free handyman on speed dial who is always available!  In the past 2 months, Babu has replaced light fixtures, replaced 3 bathroom faucets, fixed leaky sinks, toilets and showers, hung mirrors and pictures, and trimmed our trees and shrubs!

Fun in the Rain

Ready to play in the rain.

All decked out in their rain gear.

Picking flowers in the rain.

Lainey didn't quite understand how to use her umbrella, so Daddy went to great lengths to make sure that she didn't get rained on.
Watching Daddy mow the lawn after the rain.

Silly girl.

Sweet Treats

Decorating cupcakes.

Chowing down on some Peppa Pig cookies from Maddie's birthday party.

Mornings Out with Mommy at the Children's Museum

So much to play!

Sitting in the Princess Castle.

Playing in the sandbox.
Another day, another trip to the sandbox!

Lainey refuses to get inside the sandbox because she doesn't like the way it feels.

Lulu loves slides!
More sliding fun!

Sliding sisters.

Working together on a floor puzzle.

Princesses on their thrones.

Fun on the pirate ship.

Playing with the berries.

Riding the whale.

Bouncing buddies.
The whales are Lainey's favorite part of the museum.

Playing dress up.  Hailey found an "Ariel dress" that she put on shortly after we got there and didn't take off until we left!
On our second trip to CMOR, Hailey headed straight to the dress up area to see if her "Ariel" dress was still there.  Thank goodness it was!

Waiting in line for the train.  Lainey was not a fan of the train and cried the whole time, so Buggy decided to be a "big girl" and rode the train over and over again all by herself!

Riding all by herself!

Looks like she had a pretty good time!

Frolicking around the museum in her in her "Ariel dress" pretending to be the Little Mermaid.
Lulu, sneaking a snack.

Naptime in the castle.

Fun at the craft table.

Lainey loved playing with the glue sticks and paper pieces.

Hailey had fun making puppets.  One of Ariel as a mermaid, and one of Ariel as a human...obviously.

Walking to the candy store to get a treat.

Two kids in a candy store!

More Fun at Kanawha

One of the many great things about living so close to a pool and playground...early morning trips to the park to eat breakfast and play in our jammies!

Swinging in their jammies!

Late afternoon Daddy/Daughter date to the pool!

Sunday Morning Playdate

Hailey and her Robert.

Bagels and banana bread after Sunday school.

Buggy, rolling around in our front yard.

Typical.
