Waiting on Baby & Trip to the Zoo

I'm 37 weeks now.  Hailey and Lainey were both already born by this point in the pregnancy, but who's counting?  Umm...obviously this very large, tired and uncomfortable pregnant Mama is!!  The girls are still in baby mode around here, that's for sure.  Their baby dolls have more baby "stuff" than their baby sister is going to have!  At any given point in the day, one of the girls either has a baby under their shirt (in their belly), in a stroller, crib, bouncer...you name it.  All of their play is centered around baby!  In an effort to keep us all preoccupied so we don't sit around counting down these last few weeks, Daddy has been taking the girls to the pool and Mommy has been taking them to the playground and Children's Museum.  We also took the girls to the Richmond Zoo and we all ended up having a great time!  Lainey's favorite animals were the monkeys and Hailey loved the bats!

Playing babies.

Feeding her babies.

Rocking "Lamby" on the back porch.

Her world is going to be rocked when she is no longer the "baby" of the house.

Cuddles on the couch.

Peas and Carrots

We've been enjoying the end of summer and the end of this pregnancy!  The girls and I have been hit hard with baby fever and it's all we can seem to think about these days!  We're all anxious to meet the newest member of the Kinard Crew!  The highlights of our week were having Grandma and Grandpa come to visit from Florida, watching Hailey and Lainey excel in their gymnastics skills and giving each girl an "only child" sleepover.  Hailey spent the weekend at Gigi and Babu's where she saw her first movie in the movie theaters and Lainey spent the weekend with Mommy and Daddy where she soaked up our attention like a giant sponge!  They both had a great time, but we were surprised by how much they missed each other!  We hadn't even pulled out of the driveway when Lainey started asking "Sissy going?  Sissy doing?  Awww.  Miss her!" They insisted on calling each other on the phone multiple times each day and asked about each other constantly!  Our house has been filled with the sweet sounds of little girl giggles and pitter patter ever since they were reunited!  These two go together like peas and carrots.  I'm convinced that there is no greater gift than the gift of a sibling.  I'm so thankful that they have each other.

 35 Week Baby Bump Pics!

Me and my girls, showing off our baby bumps.
35 Weeks!

Me and all of my babies.

Grandma and Grandpa came to visit!

Grandma and her granddaughters.

Two very spoiled happy girls!

Me and my Mom :-)  We were able to have a morning out to lunch and pedicures since I had live in babysitters!  Poor Gigi is always the babysitter, so it had been over 2 years since we've had any Mother/Daughter alone time!

Gymnastics!

Lainey has been loving gymnastics camp!  Her favorite part is when she gets to fly!

Hailey has been loving camp and her gymnastics class.  She had her Summer Gym Show this week where she showed off all of her moves and got a ribbon!

End of Summer Fun

More fun at the Children's Museum.

Playdate with Owen, Ella and Baby Hudson.

Picnic outside at the Willow Lawn playground.

Hailey LOVED helping daddy with the yardwork!

Visit to Gigi and Babu's

The girls had fun catching bugs and getting dirty at Gigi and Babu's house...

...while Mommy and Daddy had a nice dinner at the Kingsmill Marina.

"Only Child" Sleepovers!

Hailey:

Hailey was very happy to have Gigi and Babu's house all to herself for the weekend.  She was an only grandchild for a few days and got lots of attention.  She loves sleepovers in the woods because she gets to catch butterflys...

...and frogs...

...and lizards!

Racing around the garage on Babu's stool.

Playing ball in the backyard.

Gigi took Hailey to her first movie in the movie theater!  She saw the Smurfs 2 movie and loved it!

Ready to watch the movie.

A trip to the candy store after the movie.

She loved the fountain outside the theater.

A Smurfs Happy Meal after watching the Smurfs movie.

 Lainey:

Lainey loved being an only child for the weekend!  She got to spend the morning on a solo stroller ride (she called it an adventure) with Mommy and Daddy.  We took a long walk through the woods and along the river and railroad tracks.  She was one happy girl!

Clearly she loved all of the attention!
We stopped in the middle of our walk at Starbuck's for coffee and cake pops!  (And so Mommy could go potty!!  It ain't easy going on "adventures" when you're 35 weeks pregnant!!)

Lainey and her "coffee."

Yummy cake pops!  We keep Starbuck's in business!!

Somehow, Lainey was able to sweet talk us into ending the last half of our "adventure" on Daddy's shoulders!

Chase with Daddy around the house before bedtime.

Pointing to the baby in her belly during only child snuggle time with Mommy and her babies on the couch.

We took Lulu to the Stony Point water fountains and she loved them!

Lunch with Mommy and Daddy.
Sweet Frog after lunch?  You didn't have to ask the 2 year old and the pregnant lady twice!!

Sweet Lainey Brooke soaked up every minute of her "Mommy/Daddy" time!

Hailey's Back to School Haircut!

The endless hours in the pool took it's toll on Buggy's hair this summer.  So as soon as we left church on Sunday, we headed straight to Pigtails and Crewcuts to get Buggy's Back to School haircut.

She did such a great job and was anxious to show off her new do during brunch at Flynn's!

There was no way this one was getting up in that stylists chair.  No way, no how.  She is as stubborn as a mule these days!

Like Peas and Carrots

Sure, these two enjoyed their only child sleepovers, but there is no denying the fact that they would much rather be together, just like peas and carrots.
