God's Magic Paintbrush

We are three days into Vacation Bible School and so far, Hailey has been loving it!  Lainey has been loving the alone time with Mommy and the excitement of dropping Sissy off everyday (she loves the decorations) and picking her up (we go early so we can watch Hailey sing songs in the chapel).  It's also been great seeing some familiar faces too since VBS is at their preschool this summer!
Hailey has been learning so much and has been asking some pretty profound questions.  After her first day, she looked around outside and asked, "Mommy.  Where does God keep his magic paintbrush after he's done painting the world?"  Talk about tugging on the heartstrings!

A weekly recap in pictures:

30 week baby bump!

Swim lessons with Laura Childress.

Hailey was so excited to have Henry over to play this week!  Henry is her preschool teachers little boy.  They had so much fun playing in the playroom and swimming at the pool.  She loved having an audience for her swim lessons and kept blowing him kisses during her class!

Gigi also came for a sleepover and to watch Hailey's last day of swim lessons.  It was quite and impressive class too!  They were swimming in the deep end and Hailey even jumped off the diving board 2 times!!

All loaded up for a day at the pool!

Comparing cold snow cone tongues on the back porch after a morning at the pool.

Never a dull (or quiet!) moment with these two!

Post pool snuggles before naptime.

Fun with a parachute during gymnastics class!

Lulu's usual view during "Sissy's gnacka!" (gymnastics)  I haven't told her yet, but Mommy pulled some strings and got her in early for a drop off class this fall!  She's going to be so happy to have her own "gnacka" class and I'll enjoy the "free" 2 hours with baby #3 this fall!

Searching for her room at VBS.  Her Bible School also happens to be at her preschool this summer which means no nervous first day tears!!

The girls LOVE the decorations at Bible School!

Lainey asks to see the "froggy at Sissy's preschool?" all the time!

Somewhere over the rainbow...you'll find 2 very cute girls:)

Bug comes home from Bible School sufficiently tired and sweaty!

Ready for some one on one time with Mommy while Sissy is at Bible School!

Mommy and Lainey time at the car wash.  Lulu loved watching Mommy's car get washed.  She watched the whole time and kept saying, "Mommy's car shower!"

Smiles before our Thursday night Small Group dinner.

Sweet smiles before Sunday school.

Lulu loved going with Daddy to Starbucks all  by herself on Sunday after church.  She kept saying, "Fun!  Daddy's car!  Fun!"
Snuggles on the couch.

Zoned out on Max and Ruby.

Definitely the cutest totem pole I've ever seen!

Fun in the playroom after Bible School.

Cookie monsters!

Playing trains.

Lainey loves playing peek-a-boo in the princess castle!

My two princesses in their castle.
Fun with umbrellas in the summer rain.

Playing dollies!

Hailey can reenact the entire "Little Mermaid" and "Cinderella" movies with her dolls.  It's actually pretty entertaining!

Lainey was pretending that the Daddy doll and boy doll were going "Bye bye Daddy's car for 'toffee' (coffee!)"

These two have been all about their babies lately!!  They seem to have one either in a stroller, in their arms, or in their bellies at all times!!  I've even seen Hailey pretend to take a baby out of her belly all by herself!  I think they are excited about their new baby sister:)

Strapping baby in her stroller.

Lainey is always walking her babies around the house.  In fact, we have 3 strollers.  One for each floor!  There are the constant sounds "squeak, squeak" from the stroller and "pitter patter" from her little feet as Lulu walks her babies around the house.  Most of the time they are going to visit Babu!
Hailey is either carrying around her tiny baby, who just came out of her belly...

...or holding her big baby, who is turning two that day and of course, needs to have a birthday party.  We are still in birthday party mode around here.  Every.  Single.  Day.  We have to have a pretend birthday party in the playroom with decorations (pictures colored by Hailey), a piñata (cookie monster, left over from Lulu's birthday) cupcakes (pretend ones from the play kitchen), music, games, singing and presents (toys from around the house that Bug has either wrapped up with lots of wrapping paper and tape, or shoved into an old gift bag).  It's quite the production!

More pictures with their babies!

God's magic paintbrush couldn't have painted two sweeter little girls.
Amen, indeed.
