We had two very happy girls for Christmas this year because they had two visits from Santa! First, Santa's elves dropped off presents under our tree for the girls to open with Gigi and Babu. Then, we travelled to Florida and got to celebrate Christmas Eve and Day with Grandma and Grandpa. The theme for this years gifting was SMALL!! We're house hunting and certainly don't need any more big toys to move! Hailey asked for anything and everything "Princess" related this year. Some of her favorite gifts were her massive collection of Disney Princess Dolls and tons of dress up!! Laineys favorite gifts were a Dora dollhouse and Little Peoples Castle. They also got lots of new books and board games.
Our Virginia Christmas was on Sunday the 20th. We spent the day at our house with Gigi, Babu and Uncle Poogie and exhanged gifts and had an early Christmas dinner.
Then we spent the rest of Christmas week in Florida visiting Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Kelly, Uncle Dan and GranGran. It was too cold to swim, but the girls had a great time soaking up all of the attention. We went to visit Santa at the mall and he even drove by Grandma's house in a boat on Christmas Eve!! We took the girls to a Christmas Eve service where Hailey entertained the congregation by yelling out in the middle of the worship service, "Hi Baby Jesus!! Hi Mary!!" to the live Nativity scene at the front of the church, and "I want to lay in the manger!!" Again, another moment where everyone laughed...because it wasn't thier child!! We spent Christmas Day with the whole family and Hailey loved playing with Kyleigh and Mia.
Now, we're happy to be back home and ready to make new memories in 2013!
