The Wilkeys are Here!

My cousin Erin and her husband Matt came to visit this week and we got to meet their sweet little baby girl, Layla Kay.  She is so darn cute and looks just like Erin did as a baby!  We had a family dinner at Gigi and Babu's on Friday and Hailey and Lainey enjoyed mauling and manhandling baby Layla.  The boys had a great time golfing on Saturday (son-in-laws vs. father-in-laws!) while the girls spent the day in Richmond at the park.  Saturday night the four of us enjoyed a child-free night out while Gigi had her hands full with a 3 year old, 1 year old and a newborn!! 

Daddy took off work early this week to watch Bug in her gymnastics class and she was so happy to have him there and showed off all of her "tricks" to him the whole time!  Bug also got a haircut this week and has gone almost three weeks without sucking her fingers!

Eventually she warmed up to her and then wouldn't stop kissing her!

Watching a Disney Princess marathon with Daddy on his i-pad.  Hailey is more than obsessed with Ariel the Little Mermaid.  Her entire little life revolves around the movie, the songs and reenacting the scenes! 

Lainey seemed to regress as Layla's visit progressed.  First she insisted on sitting in the baby bumbo chair....

 

Then she decided that she wanted to use a paci (something that she never used as a baby!) and roll around on the floor...

 

Then she climbed up in the bouncer with her paci and made herself comfortable!

 

We took a break from family bonding to get Bug a haircut.  She was so excited!

She did great!

After our hair cut, Erin, Layla and Gigi came over to visit while the boys played golf. 

We took the girls for a walk around our neighborhood. 

We stopped at a a park in the middle of our neighborhood. 

The girls had a great time playing on a perfect fall day!

In other exciting news, Hailey is moving right along with her no finger sucking!  Her prize at the end of this week was a gymnastics Dora doll.  She does flips and kicks like Buggy does at gymnastics.  Lainey is terrified of it!!

Daddy took off work early to come and watch Hailey during "chapsticks!"  She was so excited to have him there and kept waving and yelling at him to "look at me!  I did it!!"
