What Frankenstorm?!

We've been anxiously watching the radar as hurricane Sandy, appropriately nicknamed "Frankenstorm" since it's due to hit right around Halloween, approaches Virginia.  Our refrigerator is stocked with milk and bread and our freezer is currently holding FIVE bags of ice.  We also have about 10 pounds of Halloween candy on hand, which should last us at least the first two days!  I'm doing some pre-Frankenstorm camera dumping while my fourth load of laundry is drying.  Something about an approaching storm makes me feel the need to clean and wash every item in our house.  I think this is one of the cutest blog posts I've posted so far.  I just think every picture is so special:)

We had another fabulous, festive week in the Kinard household.  Hailey has been LOVING all of the gorgeous Fall color and has even been HUGGING the tress because she thinks they are "so beautiful!"  We made a few trips to the Children's Museum this week.  One was to meet our friends Trip and Reagan and other was for the Halloween Party they had there on Saturday.  We also got to play with one of my old high school friends, Samantha and her little boy Owen.  I haven't seen Sam in 13 years and it was so great catching up with her!   The girls got to try on their Halloween costumes for the CMOR Halloween party this week.  Hailey is of course going to be Ariel the Little Mermaid, and Lainey is going to be Ariel's best friend, Flounder the fish.  I'm sure she will hate me for that when she's older but she makes one pretty cute fish:)  We also took the girls to "Spooky Saturday" at the park across from our old house.  Hailey was in hog heaven with not one, not two, but THREE bouncy houses!  She went down the bouncy slide FOUR times in a row!

Now, we're just bracing for what is sure to be one pretty miserable week.  Fortunately, we hit up the craft store so at least my three year old will be entertained for a few hours out of it!  Wish us luck!
