Bug had a great day celebrating her birthday with her preschool class.  They had cupcakes, sang "Happy Birthday" and made her a birthday crown!

Lulu had fun playing with her toys while she was at school (shhhh!  don't tell the birthday girl!)

And then she practiced some crawling. 

And did a few leg stretches. 

We did our major celebrating the next day!  Bug woke up to a table full of presents, balloons and a Dora cake.  Gigi, Babu and Uncle Poogie came over and we all headed to Monkey Joe's (bouncy house playland) and then came back home for pizza, cake and presents.  It was low key, and lovely.  By far the best birthday so far!

Then it was time to get down to business!!  Bug had lots of bouncing to get out of her system!!

First Daddy took her around. 

Then it was Uncle Poogies turn!!!  Now that was a sight!! 

Then the real Monkey Joe made an appearance.  I know two little girls who were NOT fans (basically the only two kids in the entire building who didn't like him)!

Lulu preferred to laugh at Monkey Joe from afar. 

And Bug pulled Babu into a bouncy house and hid until Monkey Joe was gone!

We were very proud of Bug for climbing up the wall and going down the big slide all by herself. 

Her baby sister was also very proud of her and loved watching the "Hailey show!"

I was happy that she was able to get out some of her donkey energy on her birthday (she was sweating the whole time!)  I'm pretty sure she had an amazing time!

Next, it was time to go home and open presents!  If we didn't have a table full of presents to lure her home, I'm not sure that she would have ever left!

She was very happy that her sister shared some of her Dora paper with her.  This baby is OBSESSED with Dora!  I shouldn't be surprised.  She was practically brainwashed in utero! 

This birthday was also great because (aside from the playhouse in the backyard) all of Bug's gifts were SMALL!!! 

Some of her favorite gifts were , the playhouse, a Squinkies beauty parlor along with lots of squinkies, My Little Ponies, Princess dolls, a princess ball, a baseball glove and bat, new books for storytime, and a Razor scooter.  Grandma and Grandpa Kinard, Aunt Kelly and Uncle Dan, Gigi, Babu and Uncle Poogie and Mommy and Daddy continued the tradition of spoiling this litte girl rotten!  Of course, out of all of those toys (and more!) she lit up when she opened a singing Dora card.  She proceeded to play it over and over again until bedtime, and loved singing along with it.  It was especially entertaining to hear her make up words to the Spanish verses:)

Lulu was not a happy camper when she found out that she had napped through the pizza and cake! 

Bug made it up to her by letting her watch her play with her fabulous new toys (and was even nice enough to give her a piece of foam flooring and cardboard to play with!) 

I guess it's time for this Mama to rest up because in a month, we'll be doing this all over again!
