Bug's First Dental Check Up!

Bug had her first dentist appointment today and she did great!  We drove to Williamsburg, to "Gigi's work" and we both had check ups.  It may have taken a lot of coaxing to get her into the chair (and weeks of playing "dentist" at home with Mommy's intruments!), but once we did, she did great!  And of course, no cavities!!

Observing intently, while Mommy was getting her teeth cleaned.

Not only did I have a babysitter on call at the dental office, we also took over the entire waiting room while we were there!

Lulu loved all the excitement!  All of the other patients kept saying that they had never seen such a smiley baby before!  That's our happy, laid back Lulu!

Mommy was showing Bug all the "tools". 

At first, it wasn't looking like we were going to get much of anything done!

"Haywee not like dis!  Mommy's turn!" 

But then she calmed down and was very excited about "Mr. Tickles."  Fortunately, I have a little experience in this area and was able to remember a few tricks and fun names for the instruments. 

She loved the "squirt gun" and "Mr. Thirsty!"

And she liked going for a ride down in the chair...but only if Mommy was holding her. 

It also helped that our hygienist, "Mrs. Reed" is a family friend, and Bug has spent many afternoons at her house, jumping on her trampoline!

"All done!!  You did it!!"

Now it was time for Dr. Fiscella to "count her teeth!"

Next was a trip to the treasure box, and a big hug from Gigi!

Lulu is so proud of her brave big sister!

It won't be long before Lulu is in that chair!  Better start prepping her now!
