We Did It!

Doug's girls successfully survived a whole weekend at Camp Gigi and Babu's!  Mommy may have cried when I dropped them off, and Buggy may have cried when she had to leave, but all in all it went smoothly.  (Or so I'm told.  Gigi did look pretty worn out come Sunday afternoon!  Those 4am feedings coupled with a day full of chasing around Buggy can be pretty exhausting!)

Although I hate to admit it, I really enjoyed the Mommy "break".  Doug and I got to actually talk to each other, without being interrupted by play-doh or coloring requests or by a screaming newborn!  We slept in, I took long showers and read my weekly mindcandy (US Weekly) and we spent the rest of the weekend seeing old friends from college at a wonderful wedding.  Plus, I know Buggy had a blast chasing around the puppy's and playing outside (she has the bug bites to prove it!) and I'm sure Lulu enjoyed the constant holding and rocking all weekend!  Both girls hit the bed hard last night and woke up very late!  (Buggy didn't wake up until 9:30am!) so I know they had a good time!  I guess we'll have to go away for the weekend again soon.  Perhaps for someone's 30th birthday, to the happiest place on earth (The Homestead!)?  Hint, hint!

Believe it or not, Buggy actually asked me if she could hold Lainey this time!!

Lainey testing out her big sisters chair.

Buggy, enjoying her favorite treat, a "black pa-sicle".  (It's really grape.)

I think she misses the puppies!

She's been obsessed with sweeping!  Which is fine with me!

She's also all about "diapee" changes.  EVERYONE has to get their diapee changed, which will make potty training a little harder!  (She likes laying her toys down in a line and then pretends to change their diapee.)

And she loves putting everyone to bed and saying "ni-night". (Even if they aren't actually in a bed...)

We're so very thankful for such great family (in Virginia and Florida!)  It's too bad everyone doesn't have a Camp Gigi and Babu to take advantage of!

Happy Birthday Gigi! Thanks for spending it with the girls!
