Hats, Hickey's, Hooter Hiders & Ham-bones!

It shouldn't be too surprising that my blog posts are becoming less frequent now that we've got two bambinos!   Nor should you be surprised at the fact that Doug and I make ridiculously adorable children!!!  Seriously people!  Look at these girls!!

Ok.  Now that I've gotten a little Mama bragging out of my system, I can tell you about our busy week.  (In all honesty, it just seems like one really long day to me!  I guess that's what happens when the longest you've slept in over a month is 3 hours!!  Light?  Light at the end of the tunnel?  Where are you?)

Aside from our usual Summer Camp fun, we also welcomed a visit from our Illinois relatives, The Hickeys!  I still can't believe that our sweet little ring bearer and flower girl are now mature teen and "tween" -agers! Of course they came bearing gifts and Buggy had a fun time playing dress up with them!

But she was more excited about the new playmate she acquired!  She had Rachel coloring and playing pretend all afternoon!  Which meant that this Mama got to have her hands free for a little bit!

Hailey took Gigi, Rachel aka "Dib" and Aunt Beth across the street to the park.  Buggy and Dib were there for almost an hour.  Aunt Beth and Gigi didn't even make it 2 minutes!  (It was quite sweaty that day!)

After a steamy park trip, Bug and Rachel came back to relax in the cool, air conditioned playroom.  They shared a delicious snack of ice cream Dibs, and I'm guessing that's where Bug came up with the name "Dib" for Rachel.  She called her that for the rest of the day, and is still asking about her!!  Just before naps today I caught her looking out the window asking for Dib!

No family bonding day is complete without a visit from Uncle Poogie.  I'm still not sure why he was wearing my "hooter hider!"  But, we're not really sure why Uncle Poogie does a lot of things!!
 (Luv ya Poogs!  Mean it!)

He may be crazy, but he sure does love his nieces!

Lulu loves taking naps on her Daddy!

And she loves her Big Sister too! (From this angle, it appears that she also loves to eat!  Poor child is getting a double chin!)

The girls were being exceptionally photogenic today!  In fact, Bug has started to turn into a big ham-bone in front of the camera!!

Buggy is still a tomboy at heart.  She's been all about her trucks and cars this week!  It could be because I took her Tonka truck away from her for awhile after I caught her using her baby sister as a speed bump!!

Attempt #1 of a picture of Doug and his girls.

Attempt #2...

We're still working on it.

Happy weekend!
