A Blog Full of "B's"

Hailey was getting pretty cozy with her boy Robert last night during dinner (note the hand on his thigh!).
This was our first attempt at a smiley photo of them.
Take 1: they both just look very confused.

Take 2:   Hailey decided to shove all her Puffs in her mouth at once!  (note the chipmunk cheeks!)

Take 3:  winner winner chicken dinner!  (note the two super cute toddlers grinning away!)

She loved his cool trucks!  And I loved how little Robert always smiles for my camera!  Unlike my own daughter who is totally unfazed by it!

It's very difficult to get in and out of Kroger without getting a new balloon for Buggy.  This is our latest, and largest, balloon!  It's a school bus with all the Sesame Street characters on it and Buggy loves it!

Bye Bye!

Roseola and Rufus

I thought Hailey had gotten just about every sickness in the book, but I must have overlooked Roseola.  Ah, Roseola.  This lovely illness had my daughter radiating heat at 104 degree temperature and shivering like she was in a snow storm at the same time.  After enduring multiple sleepless nights and trips to the pediatrician, Roseola leads you to believe that your sweet child is finally all better and then the wonderful rash appears...all over!

Fortunatley, it doesn't seem to bother Buggy and she has found comfort in her big doggy, Rufus.

So we've been pumping her with tons of fluids.  And she's making sure to eat lots of fruit.

As for the vegetables, I guess the plastic kind will have to do for now!

Thank goodness for Rufus and his big fluffy self!

Now that those scary couple of days are behind us, I can safely say that I think she's going to be ok.

P.S- an incriminating picture of my wonderful husband!  Gotta love him!

The Good Stuff

Those closest to me know of my secret love for hardcore, gangster rap music!  The more swear words the better!  However, now that I am a responsible parent, I don't think it's such a great idea to expose Hailey to that type of music (although I'm sure that after 9 months of listening to Snoop Dog and P-Diddy in-utero she could probably hang with the best of them at the local Richmond night club!)  Now I only listen to it on my i-pod at the gym, and have recently come to love country music!  The more twang, jute box and truck, the better!  I'm not sure if it's my wonderful husband, or my perfect little girl, but lately, I can't seem to get through 3 country songs on the radio without crying...hysterically!  It's something about the way the songs  seem to capture what's really important in life.  Unlike rap music, where you can't even understand what they're saying, country music tells a story.  And most of the time it's about marriage and children and love.  The most recent song that brought on the water works was a song by Kenny Chesney called "The Good Stuff".  And it got me thinking about all the "good stuff" we have in our lives right now!  I will spare you the cheesiness of listing everything Doug and I have to be thankful for (and keep you from throwing up in your mouths a little bit) and instead just post a few pictures of Hailey from this afternoon, because our family is really the best of "the good stuff."

'Cus that's the good stuff.

Pool Day

Hailey had her first trip to the Upper County Pool (where her Mommy used to swim as a kid!) today with Granny Nanny.  She LOVED it!  We had the baby pool all to ourselves and Hailey was in heaven!

It was a constant struggle to keep her shades and sunhat on!

She was in her element floating around in the water with Mommy and Granny Nanny.

And she loved walking/crawling through the baby pool.  Since we had it all to ourselves, she got to spread out her toys all over the place!  I think she thought it was a big bathtub!

All that swimming can make a baby hungry, so we broke into one of Uncle Poogies cans of "Beefaroni!"  (probably not the healtiest dinner choice!)  But it sure was fun to eat!!

Children's Museum

We went to the Children's Museum today with our friend Caroline and had so much fun!  I would have liked to get better pictures of our visit, but Buggy would not sit still!  There was so much to do and she was very excited!  I have a feeling we're going to be spending many more afternoons there!
