Anniversary Weekend

Nine years ago I fell in love with the man of my dreams and five years ago, I finally convinced him to put a ring on it!!  (a very large, sparkly ring, might I add!)  Yes, not only do I have an adorable charming daughter, but my husband isn't too shabby either!  He whisked me away for our 5th anniversary and surprised me with a romantic weekend at a resort in Williamsburg.  He pulled out all the stops too; a bouquet of roses (5 for our fifth anniversary) champagne, chocolate covered strawberries, my favorite wine waiting for me, a delicious steak dinner!  But the best part of the whole weekend was getting to sleep in and waking up to this beautiful view!!  I do love my crying 7am alarm clock, but it is nice to be able to sleep in once in awhile!

Yes, it was great living the good life, sans baby for a couple of days...but boy did we miss our little drooling, chubby Buggy when we were away!  I'm not even sure if she noticed that we were gone because she gets so much attention at Granny Nanny's and Grandpa Ben's house (plus she usually doesn't nap and gets to eat lots of sugar!)

Once we got home, we got right back into our routine-which involves playing peek-a-boo with Daddy in the laundry room, swimming in the pool and just being really cute!

Showing much love for her Daddy's work!  (note the Harris Williams onesie!)
Happy Anniversary Doogle!  Thanks for such a great weekend and such a beautiful daughter (even if she doesn't look a bit like me!)  I love you!

  1. Nope, she really doesn't look like you, Hols. That child is Kinard all the way, but it looks good on her! Glad you got to have a wonderful weekend. We'll keep you posted on our return to VA. Maybe a road trip will be in order one day. I really enjoy your blog, BTW.

  3. So exciting to have a surprise anniversary weekend!! I am so happy you guys had such a great time. You guys are one of our favorite couples and we are happy you convinced him to "put a ring on it." Hailey does look just like her daddy, especially in that last picture. Wow!
