I can't believe this day is here! Our sweet baby is a year old! Can I still even call her my baby anymore, or is she officially a "toddler?" No way. She's still my baby.
Guess who decided to sleep in on her birthday. I was begining to wonder if it was my birthday too! Although I did enjoy laying in bed until almost 9:30am (and not getting up at 6am like usual!) while Hailey got some birthday rest, I really missed her, and was just staring at the baby monitor waiting for her to get up!
When I finally heard some sweet baby noises coming from her room, Mommy was ready, with the camera in hand, of course! It took Buggy a little while to wake up. I don't think she was prepared for all the birthday photos Mommy was going to take!
Once she saw her wonderful birthday tutu, she perked right up!
Then we went downstairs for some birthday blueberry muffins!
And of course, a birthday brush afterwards!
Then Daddy came home and she showed off her Cookie Bouqet she got from Grandmama and Granddaddy! Yummy!
Pushing around her stroller and showing off for the camera. (Daddy was also video taping her too, so she was loving all the attention!)
Have you ever seen a cuter birthday girl?!
She was a very popular girl today, and everyone wanted to call and wish her a happy birthday! Here she is talking to Grandaddy on Daddy's phone.
After naptime, we went out for a small family birthday dinner. We went to the Olive Garden, because that's the last place we went out to before Buggy was born! Today was kind of "low key" and we were glad to have the whole day together, as a family. This weekend we'll have the crazy Gardner's over and eat some cake and icecream and open presents!
She was a big fan of the breadsticks.
And an even bigger fan of the cheesecake!
It's hard to believe that a year ago, at this time, we were first introduced to Hailey. And in just one year, she's quickly become the most important person in our lives.
And we wouldn't have it any other way!
Happy Birthday Hailey Grace! Mommy and Daddy love you so much.
This post got me all teary eyed. Those first few months seem to take forever, and then time just starts flying. Happy, happy birthday, sweet Hailey Grace. Can't wait to get up your way so I can hug your neck all the time!
ReplyDeleteAWWW!! Holly, I love your blog. It is truely amazing how one person can change your life soo much! She is precious!! Happy Birthday sweetheart! Enjoy her while she is little, because they grow very fast indeed and these memories will last forever. I still remember Madison's first birthday like it was yesterday. Happy Mother's Day too!! ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Hailey! She's so cute! I love the wake-up pictures. Hilarious!
ReplyDeleteTime flies. Love her cupcake dress-how appropriate. Some of those crib pictures almost rival Claire's black eye picture!
ReplyDeleteHolly , Can't believe that she is a year old! Life takes on a whole new meaning with children. And for the better. They are a gift from above and are to be loved every day. You and Doug are such great parents. Miss you!
ReplyDeleteSo cute! I can't believe she is already a year old. She is beautiful! And you are such a good mommy...she is clearly loved!
