Don't Tell Elmo!

So far this week has kicked off to a great start!  Hailey slept for over 13 hours last night (food induced sleep from Granny Nanny's babysitting I'm sure! But I'm not complaining!)  and I got to go to my Cycle class bright and early this morning (6am!!  ugh!) while she was still fast asleep.  I long for the days when she doesn't get kicked out of the gym nursery after 15 minutes!

More importantly, baby music class went flawlessly!  Hailey was laughing, singing, waving and clapping (yes, she's waving and clapping now Grandparents!) and demonstrating her soldier crawl to the entire class of "Richmond Elite" mommies and babies, while I was trying not to be embarrased, but instead proud of her "special way" of moving around!

After a very long and hard nap (for the both of us!) we woke up and had lunch with Daddy and played in our playroom.  We've been trying to hide from Elmo the fact that he is slowly being replaced by "Funny Bunny" the musical rabbit!  We started playing with him only when we wanted to make Hailey stay still long enough to at least change her diaper, (forget buttoning or zipping up her clothes, that simply doesn't happen all at once anymore with our Litte Wiggleworm!)  Then we took him with us to get our most recent series of shots, and then he went with us to baby gym and music class, and now he seems to always be by her side!

These looks somewhat demonstrate how early Buggy's attitude, I mean personality, is starting!  I was attempting to sing some of the songs from our music class this morning, but clearly I'm not the best singer!  She usually gives me a blank stare or a little smirk as if to say, "Seriously Mom?  You are not a good singer!"

Yes, she is still doing her unique soldier crawl, at almost 10 months.  We asked the instructor at Little Gym on Saturday if she's ever seen a baby crawl like that, and she responded, "It sure is different, isn't it?!"  Hmmm...I guess that's a no!

And her favorite toy is still the padded flooring...

...but now she is also pulling up!  What an exciting world it is up here!

...and down we go!  To which Doug and I always respond with, "Yay!!" and clap our hands like she has just performed an amazing trick that wasn't supposed to hurt!

And up she goes again, trying to break out of her "baby jail!"

Of course I let her out after I took this picture...I mean, look at that face!

Little Graduate says Happy Birthday Grandpa Ben!

Hooray for Hailey!  She graduated from baby physical therapy today at the top of her class (just like her Daddy!)

We'll miss playing with Anne on Monday mornings...but Mommy won't miss having to wake up 30 minutes early!  (But I will miss the 3 hour naps Buggy would take as soon as PT was over!)
*would have gotten more pictures...but as you can see, the cap didn't last long on her head!

Buggy wanted to wish her Grandpa Ben a very Happy Birthday!  The two of them together already makes me nervous!  She's going to get away with everything, eat candy for dinner if she wants and will never have to take a nap at Grandpa Ben's house!

(And they still have to same hair-do!)
Happy Birthday Granpa Ben!  We love you!

Happy Heart Day!

Happy Valentine's Day!  Hailey has been all about this holiday!  She sent all of her friends valentines in the mail, ate a heart shaped piece of toast and cheese for lunch, made her Daddy a big heart shaped rice krispie treat!, wore her festive red outfit today, and wanted to send all her favorite people a Valentine's Day smile...so here we go!

This one is for Daddy!

This one is for Granny Nanny and Grandpa Ben!

This one is for Grandmama and Grandaddy!

This one is for those crazy weenie dogs...because we're still not too sure of you guys yet!

This one is for Uncle Poogie!

And this one is for Aunt Kelly!

Then she had to give "Nelmo" his Valentine's Day love because he has been her favorite toy for many months!

But our most favorite Valentine of all is Daddy!
Happy Valentine's Day Daddy!  We heart you!

Bad Deja Vu!

I knew we had been snowed in far too long when I opened the front door this morning and Hailey squeeled with delight!  After blizzard #4, we finally broke down and decided to brave the elements today on a nice hour long walk.  For the last two days however, we were snowed in, yet again, with nothing better to do than stare out the window, eat, bathe and sleep.  Here are a few pictures of those two very long days.  We felt like we were in the movie, "Groundhog's Day" or had a very bad case of Deja Vu!  Snow again?!!  Really!?

Spending way too much time in front of the window, counting down the days until we get to visit Grandmama and Grandaddy in Florida!  Is there still time to make that a one-way ticket?

I was very excited to discover that Hailey is a fan of breakfast for dinner, just like her mommy and daddy!  She's been "anti-spoon" lately, and won't eat anything offered to her unless she can pick it up by herself!

Which also means she insists on holding her own bottle...and that's fine by me!  Gives me more time to flip through an Us Weekly!

Then Daddy came home for dinner and we ate some more! (Nothing better to do! Which is also why we went for an hour long walk today!) Mmmm!  Icecream!

We got a little sticky from our Nutty Buddy, and headed straight for the Big Girl Bath!
All of those toys, and her favorite is the washcloth!  Figures!

P.S- they're predicting more snow on Saturday!  Joy!

Partying with Poogie!

No, you are not seeing things.  My daughter does indeed have a mohawk.  As soon as Uncle Poogie walked in the door, Hailey lit up with excitment and screached!  She knows when she sees her uncle, she's in for a good time!  This particular visit involved mohawks, streaking, sunglasses and the occasional cold frosty beverage!

Uncle Poogie won't admit it, but he was singing "If you're happy and you know it clap your hands!" in this picture.

"If you're happy and you know it, shout hooray!"

After a few crazy hours, Uncle Poogie had to go home, but not without giving his niece a big smooch!

Needles to say, Buggy was plum tuckered out and fell fast asleep...while visions of partying poogies danced in her head.
