Vaccination Day...

Ok. Seriously. Could someone have warned me about the size of that massive needle that the pediatrician used for Hailey's first vaccination?! It must have been 6 inches long, and I have NEVER heard her scream that loud! I don't know who was crying more, Hailey, or me! At least she has hopefully forgotten that traumatic experience by now, but her mom sure hasn't! If she was old enough to ask for ice cream for dinner, I would let her have it...heck, I kind of feel the urge to go out and by her a pony too!
Just a few pictures of Hailey's first battle wound...

  1. We definitely should have warned you. I'm scarred for life from my first experience with Claire. I was looking right into her little eyes when they put the needle in...big mistake!

  2. So sorry! Seth is right, we should have warned you. Poor Seth was so traumatized when Claire got her first shots, it was SOOOO terrible. It does get a little better when they get a little older.

  3. It gets worse. Wait until they give them 4 at once. Two in each leg.

  4. You are such a sweet mama. I'm always like, "if you think that is bad, life is going to really be hard on you!"

She sure is cute, but I declare, I see Doug in that sweet girl. Who knew he would have been such a precious girl???

  6. Holly, girl! You guys look great. Hailey is so sweet. If I ever have a girl that name is on my list. I agree with you on the SAHM thing. I've been doing it since I had #2 a year ago and love it. Hope you guys are doing well.
