Happy 6th Birthday Avery!

Our "Labor of Love" Avery Claire was the first lucky one to celebrate a birthday in our new home!  We pushed the moving boxes out of the way, swept the floors and unpacked the "birthday box" from the basement and just like that, we were ready to celebrate our sweet six year old!  Avery knew right away which special friend she wanted to have over for her birthday.  She spent the entire morning jumping and laughing at Jumpology with her BFF Gwendolyn. When their tiny legs had turned into to jello, we headed home for pizza, cake and presents.  We ended the day with our second "construction swim" in our pool.  It was a special day celebrating our special girl.  Happy 6th birthday Avery!  We love you so much!

Avery's First Day at Veritas

Our house is filled with moving boxes, there are diggers and dump trucks in our yard and we had to dodge painters and contractors while getting ready this morning...but the first day of school still came. Alas, there were no creative chalkboard signs and I had to scramble to stick a last minute note (on a leftover napkin) in their lunchboxes. There were more tears than usual (mostly from Mama!) and a more unsettled feeling sending them off this morning , but I’m praying our sweet school can balance out the chaos surrounding these three pretty faces. Here’s to a great school year and new beginnings.
