Welcome Caleb Douglas Kinard!

We welcomed our blue caboose, Caleb Douglas Kinard, on Monday November 21st 2016 at 10:50am.  He weighed 6lbs 12oz and was 19 in long. We are already head over heels with our new little man, and you better believe with four mommies to protect him, this little guy is going to have it good!  We chose the biblical name Caleb because of it's meaning, "Devoted to God."  This sweet boy came into our family as one of God's greatest blessings and we will forever be thankful to our Lord for him.  Douglas comes from his Daddy, who I pray he will look up to and admire because he truly is one amazing man. Happy Birthday Caleb.  You are loved beyond measure.

Tiny Cubs fan, born the the same year our Cubbies won the World Series!

We had a very excited sendoff on our way to the hospital Monday morning!

Last baby bump picture.  37 weeks and 4 days.  Caleb was officially my longest pregnancy!

Waving goodbye with Grandma and Grandpa on the way to the hospital.

All hooked up and ready to go!

We had a false alarm 2 weeks prior and when we showed up at the hospital, our same nurse was working! She greeted us with a warm welcome and an important goal for the day. To actually have a baby this time!

I am so lucky to have such a supportive husband!

My nurses had a hard time getting my IV in for my much wanted epidural.  After 6 tries and 2 hours later, they finally called the anesthesiologist in.  Unfortunately, that was too late.  I kid you not, 5 minutes after the epidural was placed, Caleb was  placed in my arms!!  I felt EVERY. SINGLE.  MINUTE. of his labor and birth, but I'm happy that I did.  In the back of my mind I always wondered if I could do it, and I'm so thankful that it worked out the way it did.  However, when the hospital bill comes for the ineffective epidural, I'm sure I'll be singing a new tune!
Happy birthday Caleb!

I finally got to meet the person who belonged to that tiny foot that kept kicking me the past few months!

Mama's boy already.

Daddy and his BOY!

Caleb's big sisters were so excited to meet him!

Our complete family of six.
This little nugget is going to have one noisy upbringing!!

This little guy kept his Mama up most of the night during our last night in the hospital!

There was a special surprise waiting for me in Caleb's crib when we got home!
