Valentine's Day/February 2014

Valentine's Day 2014.

Valentine's Day loot for our Valentines.

We interrupted the girls Frozen storytime and told them that there was a surprise for them.

They followed the trail of Hersey kisses to their surprise.

Sweet Lulu patiently sat down and started to unwrap each individual kiss and eat it.  We finally had to tell her to put them in her bag and eat them later!

Checking out their treats!

The girls loved their Frozen bathing suits from Grandma!

They will be the best dressed girls at the pool this summer!!

Making heart jewelry boxes with Daddy.

Quiet time in the "snuggle room" by the fire watching Ariel.

Of course we had to make cupcakes for Valentine's Day!  Mommy never passes up an opportunity to make baked goods!!

Delicious!

Avery was happy eating her squash!

We spent most of Valentine's Day at Gigi and Babu's house to visit and pawn the girls off on the grandparents so Mommy and Daddy could go to dinner!

The girls had fun playing outside in the woods.  (They both insisted on wearing their snow boots!)

Any time these two see a muddy puddle, they HAVE to jump in it!

Both of the girls' Valentine's Day parties were rescheduled because school was cancelled due to snow...again.  But they didn't seem to mind.  They loved comparing Valentine's from their friends.

More muddy puddle jumping!

Lainey takes her role as big sister very seriously :)

Avery and her big sister, Lainey.

Avery, 5 1/2 months.

The verdict is still out on whether or not we will have a little red head in our family!!

She sure is beginning to fill out her carseat!!

The girls have been playing "Disney World" and "Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique" ever since we got home from Disney!

Hailey, rocking her Disney shirt for preschool.

Princess dance party with Daddy!

Another snow day!!

I think they like each other!

Avery loved looking at the bright white snow!

Hailey loved sledding down the hill!

Lainey loved "pretending" to sled down the hill!!
Climbing the rope in gymnastics.

Hailey, painting in the green room.

Lulu loves reading in the Purple Room!

The girls have loved watching the 2014 Winter Olympics.  They even made medals, torches and Olympic rings at preschool!

Disney Vacation 2014

Disney World 2014 was magical!  We stayed at the Polynesian for 2 nights and spent 13 consecutive hours in the park (which, I might add, felt like a vacation with only one child!)  Most of those hours were spent in Fantasyland exploring all things Princess.  Thanks to Daddy's exceptional planning, we only had to wait in one line and Hailey met every princess in the park that day!  Hailey was in heaven when she met Ariel and she even got to eat dinner inside Cinderella's castle, after a princess makeover in the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique!  Daddy and Mommy hadn't been to Disney World since 2001, so it felt new to us too!  As soon as Hailey walked through the gates (while riding on Daddy's shoulders) and saw Cinderella's castle she started crying tears of joy.  It's a memory that I will cherish forever.

Disney 2014.

Disney 2001.

Packing for our trip was easy for this princess lover!

On our way to DISNEY WORLD!!

Checking in to the Polynesian.  They greeted Bug with a great Hawaiian welcome complete with a welcome bucket, lei and "My 1st Visit" button.

Of course, jumping on the bed is allowed at Disney World!

This is the life!
The view from our hotel room.

We didn't even unpack, but headed straight to the pool!!

On the bus to Downtown Disney.

Exploring Downtown Disney.

Lego World!
Dinner at the Rainforest Cafe.  The animals came to life and it thunder stormed inside!

We sat right next to a ginormous aquarium!

We made sure to stock up on lots of candy and treats from Goofy's bakery before heading home to our hotel!

Hailey loved watching movies on the beach at our hotel while we were waiting to watch fireworks!

Watching fireworks from Cinderella's castle with Daddy!

Our hotel had the best views of the fireworks!

Right before bed, we got to watch a light parade from our hotel window!  Hailey was in heaven!

We got to Disney before the gates even opened!  We took a few mouse ears pictures while we waited for Mickey's train to pull up and for the gates to open.

Of course, the first ride we went to was the Ariel ride!!

Waiting in line for Dumbo.

Riding the teacups!

It's a small world.

The carousel.

Meeting her first princess.  Rapunzel.

Hailey and Rapunzel.

Hailey and Snow White.  She made sure to tell Snow White that her baby sister Avery dressed up like her for Halloween!

Quick snack before her makeover in the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique!
Getting hair done and her nails painted princess pink at the same time!

Adding her "Elsa hair."

Time for makeup and face jewels!

This hair-do required lots and lots of hairspray and teasing!!

Almost done!  Just waiting for some magic fairy dust!

Getting sprinkled with "wishing fairy dust!"

The big reveal!

She was SO happy!

Introducing Princess Elsa!

Mommy and Elsa.

She felt (and acted!) like a little celebrity after her makeover.  Everyone said "Hi Princess!!  You're so pretty!" She waved and soaked up all of the attention!

Waiting to meet Ariel!!!

She was so nervous meeting her very favorite princess!!!!  It was so cute!  Ariel told her not to freeze the water since she was dressed up like Elsa!  Hailey thought that was very funny.

Ariel kept calling Hailey "Angel fish" and she loved it!!  She still asks us to call her angel fish like Ariel did.

This picture was worth every penny of our trip!!

What Hailey's "heaven" looks like!!

We tried to get her to take a nap at our hotel, but she wasn't having any part of that.  So we attempted to get her to nap in the stroller while we walked around the park.  Poor girl.  Each time she started to fall asleep, she was shoot up and say, "I don't want to miss anything!"  So...we decided to get an icecream pick me up.  Even the icecream was shaped like mickey mouse!!

Chatting with some cowboys outside the Country Bear Jamboree.

She was in awe with Cinderella's castle.

Watching a Castle Party performance!

Happy girl.

Smiles in front of Cinderella's castle.

Watching a street show.

Meeting Cinderella inside her castle!

Hailey and Cinderella.

Exploring Cinderella's castle before dinner with the princesses.

Making a wish before dinner with the princesses in Cinderella's castle.  We hardly had time to eat because there were princesses to meet everywhere!!
Hailey and Aurora.

Hailey and Snow White.

What a treat!  Princess Ariel again!!!

Hailey and "human" Ariel.

Hailey wasn't as shy the second time she met Ariel and we practically had to pull her away!  She told Ariel that she was her favorite princess, that she has dressed up like her for Halloween twice and then she proceeded to sing.  Ariel made her day by giving her a kiss on the forehead.

She refused to wipe it off!!!
More castle exploring after dinner.

We stopped to watch another Castle party!

She was super cool in her Elsa shades.

Waiting for the parade to come!

Dancing with Daddy!
Dancing with Mommy!
Blowing kisses to Donald Duck.

Hailey and Belle.

Hanging with Gaston outside Belle's castle.

Disney at dusk is beautiful!

We headed home for a quick change before going back to watch the fireworks.  (Plus, our hotel offered free wine during happy hour!!)

We had front row seats to the fireworks and light show!

We hit up a few more rides after the fireworks and then headed home.  Hailey finally gave in and fell asleep during the short stroller ride from the elevators to our hotel room!!

Dreaming sweet princess dreams (after 4 head washing's to try to get out all of the glitter from the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique!!)
