Sun, Sand and Sitters

We're headed for Florida again to visit Grandmama, Grandaddy and Hailey's best buddy Great Gran-Gran!  We're ready to lounge around the pool and soak up some sun* and sand. And I'm most excited about the extra sets of hands I'll have to help me chase Buggy around!  Doug and I are even going to spend a romantic weekend at the Jupiter Beach Resort, Blackberry free!

* we're hoping that the weather forcast is wrong, and it's not supposed to rain the entire time we're down there!

Westwood Club and Craft Table

Hailey had a playdate yesterday with her girlfriends Caroline and Mary Michael.  We went to the Westwood Club (which we are going to be joining!) and went swimming and played on the playground.  Hailey was in heaven at the pool and even went under many times!

I had to document my daughters love of Sara Lee "Cheesecake Bites!"  She would eat the entire carton if I let her!

Here Buggy is trying out her new craft table!  And I think she likes it!

She loves climbing in and out of the chairs like a big girl!

And she also loves her new baby Crocs!
She sure is growing up quickly!

The Latest and Greatest

Here's the latest and greatest on the happenings of Hailey Bug.  She has really turned into a little person over the past few weeks!  We've dropped our morning nap completely and she now naps from 12:30-3:30pm everyday.  (And sleeps from 8pm-8am too!  Yes, I know, I'm lucky!)  She says "Ma Ma" and knows who I am!  It melts my heart!  Her favorite book is "Where's Daddy" and she loves to find the picture of her Daddy and give him a big open mouth kiss!  That melts Doug's heart!  She also says "uh oh" when she drops something and will say "quack" when she sees a duck and snort when we show her a piggy. Because she's her mother's daughter, she obviously loves chocolate, and will point and cry whenever she sees it!  The candy dish is located next to the playroom and she'll stand at the table, stare at us and shake it until we give her some!  She'll also say "Mmmmmm!" when she eats something she likes!  She waves bye-bye, gives hugs and plays patty-cake!  Basically, she's TONS of fun!!

She is obviously still the cutest baby ever!  But now she is sweaty, all. the. time.  because she walks/runs everywhere!

Her Cozy Coupe is the cool spot to hang out now, and she's very exclusive on who she will let play in it.  (Basically nobody except her!)

Her favorite snacks are whole red grapes and goldfish.  And she eats them by the mouthful!  She also loves ice cubes, much to her mother's dismay!

She loves chillin' in her chair after a hard day of toddling.

She is definitely a girly-girl.  She loves dolls and teddy bears and she will squeeze them and give them "hugs".  She also loves wearing purses and bracelets!  We'll say, "Hailey, where's your pretty?"  And she'll go grab one and put it on her little wrist.

Her favorite game is "Sooo Big!"  How big is Hailey?

 SOOO BIG!!

For dinner, she loves to eat cheese ravioli!  (and so does Mommy!)

And of course, she is still quite the Richmond social butterfly!  Today we played with Caroline and our new friend Mary Michael.

Hailey and Caroline even made up their own handshake!

Well, now you're all caught up, until tomorrow morning when she'll do something else new and exciting!  "Bye Bye"

C'ville Reunion

We were so happy to get a visit from some of our friends from Charlottesville today!  Gillian and her two sweet boys, Jack and Henry came to play and they brought "Auntie Jena" with them too!  Jena talked to Hailey in my belly almost every day until she was born!  Oh how I have missed these two lovely ladies!

Buggy was just tickled to have these two handsome (and smart!) boys over for the day!  Jack is 30 months old and was so polite around our bossy child!  He didn't even cry when she constantly snatched toys out of his hands!  Henry is 9 months old and is just as sweet as can be!

Gillian started her own baby sign language program (http://www.babysignsprogram.com/) and Jack and Henry were giving us lessons!  They showed us the sign for Hailey's best friend "Fannie" the ceiling fan!

Jena brought Buggy some toys and bubbles and Hailey LOVED her!  She kept walking up to her and giving her hugs and climbing on her lap!

It was an exciting afternoon because Jack used the big boy potty for the first time at our house, and Henry crawled up the stairs for the first time in our kitchen!

Jack liked pointing out the chipmunks to Hailey and Henry!

And I liked taking Henry's picture because, unlike my daughter, he will actually smile for me!

Hailey and Henry showing off their slobbering skills!

Jack loved sitting in Hailey's chair.  (Notice the cheeks stuffed full of candy!  I guess I should relocate the candy dish a little further away from the playroom!)

Out of the huge plethora of toys we have, of course they all decide to fight over the princess piano!

These two boys rocked Hailey's world today, and we can't wait to play with them again!
I think we'll be making a few more trips to Charlottesville in the future!
