A few new pictures..

Just a few new pictures of the Kinard family from our restful week together...

Hailey and her Daddy relaxing in bed after Church this morning.

She's already Daddy's girl!

Sunday afternoon nap!

Hailey's new favorite place to nap is on her Mommy's chest! (which is fine with me because then I am "forced" to take a nap too!)

Relaxing on the couch before bath time!

Out for lunch and some tasty pasta with the family!

Granny Nanny slept over so we could have our first night out together! (Thanks Granny!)

Hailey's "Due Date"

Today was supposed to be Hailey's due date, but I feel so fortunate to have had a healthy, happy, beautiful baby girl for three weeks already! We celebrated this day with a Memorial Day cookout at Granny Nanny's and Grandpa Ben's. Doug and I were just happy to have baby-sitters for a few hours so we could try to catch up on some sleep! On our ride home, Miss Hailey took a nice nap in her car seat, where she managed to drool all over it! It's pretty impressive that even when she's drooling, she's still adorable!

First Big Girl Bath!

Hailey had her first "big girl bath" yesterday and she LOVED it! She was smiling and enjoying her "soak" time! I must say, I'm pretty sure that we have the most beautiful baby in the whole world! Each day she gets bigger and more active, and shows us more of her own personality!

Tummy Time!

Hailey and her daddy had some fun "tummy time" together this afternoon!

Clearly it was too much excitement for her beacuse it didn't take much to wear her out!

Our first (of many) family trips to Williamsburg!

Hailey, Mommy and Granny Nanny took a walk around the neighborhood.

The proud grandparents!

Hailey looks like she could be swallowed up by her Pack-n-play!

Hailey loves her crib! (Thank goodness!)

Since Grandma and Grandpa Kinard have left, Hailey decided to try out her crib for the first time! We had her in a bassinet in our room for the first two weeks, and we weren't getting any sleep...mainly because Mom and Dad would wake up to every gurgle, sigh, and wiggle that Hailey would make...not to mention the few times we would wake up just to make sure she was still breathing!
Now that we have been pumping into bottles, Doug has been great with the late night feedings! Our little piglet eats every 2 hours day and night! I can barely keep up with her! We decided to start "shift-work" so that at least one of us can get 4 continuous hours of sleep.

More Graduation Pictures

Just a few more pictures of Doug speaking at graduation and Hailey making her debut on stage! I can't help bragging! I'm just so proud of both of them!

The Greatest Invention Ever!

Ok, so I feel like we're terrible parents, but after 2 straight weeks of not sleeping, we had to break down and get Hailey a pacifier. We were relieved to find out that she LOVES it and hopefully that means fewer sleepless nights for mom and dad!

Hailey with her new best friend, her paci!

Daddy was happy to have some peace and quiet for a little bit! He's been playing Mr. Mom today since Grandma and Grandpa Kinard went home this morning.

Graduation Day!

Toady was graduation day! Doug graduated from Darden with many awards and scholarships under his belt (even though he is too modest to say so!) AND he was the speaker for the graduation ceremony! Hailey had a great time watching her daddy speak to his graduating class. Especially because he gave her a shout out during his speech!

Hailey had fun walking across the stage with her daddy when he accepted his diploma!

We had a wonderful day seeing all of our friends again and enjoying beautiful Charlottesville. We're going to miss living here, and we're really going to miss seeing all of the fabulous friends that we made in our two years here.

Our First Trip Shopping!

I'm trying to start our daughter off on the right track. I have to create my own shopping buddy, since her dad won't go with me! She's only ten days old, but we had to make our first trip to the mall today! I think Doug was surprised that I waited this long to take her shopping! We managed to find an outfit from Baby Gap that didn't swallow our daughter whole when she wore it. (OK...so maybe it is just a shirt, but we are going to use it as a dress!)
Hailey and Granny Nanny. She finally got the see her with her eyes open!

We ended the day with a family cookout-steaks on the grill, prepared by our very own live-in Manny at the moment, Grandpa Kinard.

Hailey didn't seem to impressed by all of the company. Our little night owl was just getting ready to party all night long again tonight!

Miss Hailey Grace finally got to meet her Uncle Ryan! She still doesn't know what to think of him yet!

Hailey loves her Grandpa Ben!

Another beautiful day in Richmond today! We had a doctors appointment this morning and found out that Hailey is gaining weight like she should, followed by another long walk outside. Then Hailey had a surprise visit from her Grandpa Ben! You can tell he is going to have her spoiled in no time!

Finally! Some Fresh Air!

Hailey's first home!

After what seemed to be a long week cooped up inside, Hailey and Mommy went for a nice walk around our neighborhood today. It was a beautiful day and Hailey really liked the fresh air. She was wide awake for most of the walk looking up at the leaves on the trees, but when we got home we took a nice, long nap. We've only lived in this house for 11 days, and already I am in love with it! I love our cute home and the area we live in and all the shops within walking distance. I can definitely see Hailey and I going on many more walks together! We passed lots of other mommies and babies in their strollers and made lots of friends!

Hailey was very comfy taking her stroller for a test drive for the very first time!

I know my daughter is a fashion statement here, but what can you do when your little girl can only fit into one pair of pants and one hat out of the millions of clothes that she has in her wardrobe?!

She's Here!

We welcomed Miss Hailey Grace into the world with open arms, on Monday May 4, 2009 at 11:35pm! She weighed 6lbs 5oz, with LOTS of dark hair! Her first week has been full of poopy diapers, burp cloths, sleepless nights, paranoid parents, sweet little smiles (even though our doctor says it's just gas, Mom and Dad swear she's smiling at us!), hugs, kisses and lots of love! We can't wait to give her all our love and watch her grow! (but not too fast!!)

How can you not love this sweet face! Wide awake after sleeping all day, Hailey Grace is ready to stay up and party all night! (as usual!)

Unlike her "Granny Nanny" Miss Hailey was not a fan of the bath tub!

We're such proud parents with our new bundle of joy! We're both exhausted, but it doesn't matter. We're on cloud nine!

All bundled up in her car seat ready to see her new home in Richmond.

Our sweet angel "sleeping like a baby" in her bassinet in our hospital room.
